Realme 15x 5G (India)

The Realme 15x 5G has a conventional, non-folding form factor measuring 166.1 x 77.9 x 8.3 mm with a volume of approximately 107.4 cm³ and a weight of 212 g. One of its more notable design attributes is its IP69 ingress protection rating, which certifies water resistance to a depth of 1 metre, making it reasonably well-suited for exposure to water in everyday situations. It does not feature a rugged build, so while the IP69 certification provides meaningful protection, the chassis itself is not designed to military-grade durability standards.

The Realme 15x 5G uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.81 inches, with a resolution of 720 x 1570 px and a pixel density of 395 ppi. Its 144Hz refresh rate enables fluid on-screen motion, complemented by a 180Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and it lacks an Always-On Display mode as well as any branded damage-resistant glass. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Realme 15x 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm octa-core SoC configured with 2 performance cores at 2.4 GHz and 6 efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz, using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support across 8 threads. Graphics are handled by an integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, with support for DirectX 12. The device ships with 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz and 256 GB of internal storage, while the platform supports up to 12 GB of RAM and delivers a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. Cache is arranged as 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. In benchmarks, the chipset scores 782 in Geekbench 6 single-core and 2012 in multi-core, with an AnTuTu score of 429,351. The SoC also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing and multithreading, confirming a well-rounded mid-range performance profile.

The Realme 15x 5G features a single-lens rear camera with a 50 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, capturing individual pixels at 0.6 µm. It supports phase-detection autofocus and touch autofocus for stills, along with continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The rear camera records video at up to 1080p at 30 fps and supports slow-motion recording, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, but manual shutter speed is not included; the camera also shoots in RAW format and handles burst mode, panorama, and timelapse. Flash is provided by a dual-tone, two-LED unit, with no RGB flash. Optical zoom is not available, and the camera does not offer 3D or 360-degree panorama capture. On the front, there is a 50 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.4 aperture, positioned in a standard location rather than under the display, and it does not have a dedicated flash.

The Realme 15x 5G runs Android 15 and offers a broad set of software features covering privacy, productivity, and customization. On the privacy side, it includes clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are absent. The interface supports dynamic and manual theme customization, dark mode, an extra dim mode, widgets, and split-screen multitasking, while focus modes and Quick Start are not available. Useful productivity features include Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text selection, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The system also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, multi-user accounts, app offloading, customizable notifications, child lock, battery health checking, and device position tracking. OS updates are not delivered directly by the vendor, and the device cannot be used as a PC replacement. Wi-Fi password sharing is likewise not supported.

The Realme 15x 5G is equipped with a 7000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 60W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it easy to monitor charge status. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Realme 15x 5G has a notably limited audio feature set. It does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack or stereo speakers, and there is no built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC, meaning higher-quality wireless audio transmission over Bluetooth is not available on this device.

The Realme 15x 5G supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and accommodates two SIM cards. Bluetooth 5.3 is on board, and the device offers a maximum download speed of 3300 Mbits/s. It connects via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and an external memory slot is available for storage expansion. For location, it includes GPS with Galileo support alongside a compass and accelerometer, though a gyroscope, barometer, and motion or optical tracking are absent. Biometric security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. NFC is not supported, nor are DLNA, ANT+, infrared, HDMI output, satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, a heart rate monitor, or a built-in projector, and no stylus is included.

The Realme 15x 5G includes a video light, which assists with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
