Realme 16 Pro 5G

The Realme 16 Pro 5G has a non-folding, non-rugged form factor measuring 162.6 mm tall, 77.6 mm wide, and just 7.8 mm thick, with a total volume of 98.42 cm³ and a weight of 192 g. It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, qualifying it as waterproof and rated for submersion down to 2 metres.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G features a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1272 x 2772 px and a pixel density of 450 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image. The panel runs at a 144Hz refresh rate and reaches a typical brightness of 1000 nits, while Always-On Display support keeps essential information visible at all times. It is protected by branded damage-resistant glass, though the screen does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no secondary display.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300, a 4 nm chipset built with 6,200 million transistors and an 8-thread CPU configured as four cores at 2.5 GHz paired with four cores at 2 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support. It comes with 12 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6400 MHz and 256 GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory of 16 GB. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G615 MC2 GPU clocked at 1047 MHz, supporting DirectX 12 and a single display output. The chipset also features integrated LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and achieves Geekbench 6 scores of 2932 in multi-core and 1026 in single-core tasks.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G uses a dual-lens rear camera system headlined by a 200 MP primary sensor paired with an 8 MP secondary lens, both backed by a CMOS sensor and optical image stabilisation. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus with continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera captures video at up to 2160p at 30 fps and supports slow-motion recording, while HDR mode, burst mode, timelapse, and in-camera panorama are all available; HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported, nor is RAW output or manual shutter speed control. Manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance are included. Two flash LEDs are present on the rear, though they do not form a dual-tone or RGB configuration, and there is no front-facing flash. The 50 MP front camera has an aperture of f/2.4, is a single-lens unit, and is not positioned under the display.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G runs Android 16, an open-source platform that supports multiple user accounts, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, and voice commands. On the privacy side, it offers location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, clipboard warnings, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent. Customisation is well covered with theme customisation, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while productivity features include split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, a media picker, customisable notifications, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. The device also supports app offloading, a child lock, battery health checks, and phone tracking, but does not offer focus modes, Quick Start, or the ability to function as a PC, and it does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G is equipped with a 7000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 80W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for at-a-glance monitoring. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G features stereo speakers and supports aptX HD for higher-quality Bluetooth audio playback, though aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G supports 5G cellular connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with download and upload speeds reaching up to 3270 Mbit/s. Wireless networking covers Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), while Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are also on board; there is no external memory slot, DLNA certification, or HDMI output. The USB Type-C port runs at USB 2.0 speeds. For navigation and sensing, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, though a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ support are absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, with no iris scanner, 3D facial recognition, or crash detection available. A stylus is not included, and the device does not feature a built-in projector, motion tracking, or optical tracking.

The Realme 16 Pro 5G includes a video light for illumination during video recording, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
