The Realme Buds N1 use an in-ear fit and are fully true wireless, meaning there are no cables or wires involved. They weigh just 8.4 grams and carry an IP55 rating, making them resistant to water and dust ingress. Stereo speakers are built in, while features such as wingtips, RGB lighting, a UV light, and a display are not included. The earbuds are not of the neckband style.
The Realme Buds N1 are equipped with a 12.4 mm driver unit backed by a neodymium magnet, covering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz at an impedance of 32 Ohms. Both active noise cancellation and passive noise reduction are supported, giving listeners two layers of sound isolation. Spatial audio is also available, while Dolby Atmos and Dirac Virtuo are not included.
Each earbud houses a rechargeable 58 mAh battery delivering up to 9 hours of playback, or 6 hours when active noise cancellation is in use. The 480 mAh charging case extends total listening time to 31 hours, and a full charge takes 1.5 hours. A battery level indicator is included to keep track of remaining power, while wireless charging and solar battery functionality are not supported.
The Realme Buds N1 connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 meters and an audio latency of 45 ms. AAC codec is supported, though aptX in any of its variants — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — is not available, nor are LDAC, LDHC, or Bluetooth LE Audio. Pairing options are limited to standard Bluetooth, as fast pairing, NFC pairing, and Auracast are all absent. The case charges over USB Type-C.
The Realme Buds N1 support multipoint connectivity for up to two devices simultaneously and include an ambient sound mode to let in environmental audio when needed. Controls are handled via a panel on the earbuds themselves rather than an in-line remote, and voice prompts are present to guide the user through actions. The buds can function as a headset for calls and include a mute function for that purpose. Fast charging is supported, and a travel bag is included in the box. In-ear detection, notification reading, a body temperature sensor, and a built-in camera remote are not features of this model.
The Realme Buds N1 feature a six-microphone array with built-in noise-canceling microphone technology, aimed at reducing unwanted background sound during calls and voice input.
