It carries an IP65 rating, meaning it offers solid protection against dust and low-pressure water jets, though it does not feature a rugged build intended for more demanding physical conditions.

The Realme Narzo 90X features a 6.8″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1570 px and a pixel density of 254 ppi, paired with a 144Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. It also lacks branded damage-resistant glass protection.

The Realme Narzo 90X is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running two cores at 2.4 GHz and six at 2.0 GHz across 8 threads, supported by big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for efficient workload distribution. It comes with 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM clocked at 2133 MHz and 128 GB of internal storage, with the platform supporting up to 12 GB of RAM and a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. The Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU runs at 950 MHz with integrated graphics and DirectX 12 support, while the chip also integrates LTE and is fully 64-bit capable with multithreading. Cache memory consists of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3, and Geekbench 6 scores come in at 782 single-core and 2012 multi-core.

The Realme Narzo 90X uses a single-lens rear camera setup with a 50 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though optical image stabilization and laser autofocus are absent. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse are all available; manual shutter speed and RAW capture are not supported. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support, and the single LED flash is standard rather than dual-tone or RGB. The front camera offers 8 MP at f/2.0 and is a single-lens unit positioned conventionally on the display bezel, without a front-facing flash or under-display placement.

The Realme Narzo 90X runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user profiles, split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture mode, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. Privacy tooling includes clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking protection and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. Customization options span theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and extra dim mode, while productivity is aided by full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, customizable notifications, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and app offloading. The device also includes a child lock, battery health check, and phone tracking, but does not offer Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, Quick Start, or the ability to function as a PC; direct OS updates from the vendor are likewise not supported.

The Realme Narzo 90X is equipped with a 7000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 60W fast wired charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status, but the device does not support wireless charging or reverse wireless charging.

The Realme Narzo 90X features stereo speakers and supports aptX HD for higher-quality Bluetooth audio playback, while standard aptX, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available. The device does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack and has no built-in radio.

The Realme Narzo 90X supports 5G connectivity with a dual SIM cellular module, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.3, while NFC is not included. It connects via USB Type-C at USB 2.0 speeds and offers a maximum download speed of 3300 Mbits/s, along with an external memory slot for expandable storage. Location is handled through GPS with Galileo support, and on-board sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass, though a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking are all absent. A fingerprint scanner is present for biometric authentication, but 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not available; there is also no HDMI output, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, satellite SOS, crash detection, stylus, or built-in projector.

The Realme Narzo 90X includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
