The Realme P4 5G features a 6.77″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2392 px at 388 ppi, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 240Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input. Brightness reaches 1600 nits with a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1, and Always-On Display is supported. The panel does not include branded damage-resistant glass and lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, while there is no secondary screen present.

The Realme P4 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 system-on-chip, built on a 4 nm process with 6,200 million transistors and an octa-core CPU configuration running at 4 x 2.6 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing. The SoC integrates LTE, a Mali G615 MC2 GPU clocked at 1047 MHz with DirectX 12 support, and handles a single external display. The device ships with 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 6400 MHz alongside 128 GB of internal storage, with the platform supporting up to 16 GB of memory and a maximum memory bandwidth of 25.6 GB/s. The chipset is fully 64-bit capable, and all graphics processing is handled through the integrated GPU.

The Realme P4 5G features a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50 MP primary sensor at f/1.8 and a 2 MP secondary lens at f/2.2, both using CMOS technology without a back-illuminated sensor. Video recording reaches up to 2160p at 30 fps, with slow-motion and timelapse modes also available, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Autofocus options include phase-detection, touch, and continuous autofocus during video, while laser autofocus is absent; there is a single LED flash but no dual-tone or RGB flash. The Realme P4 5G runs Android 15, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, dynamic theming, theme customization, dark mode, and an extra dim mode. Privacy tools include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Additional software capabilities cover on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, notification permission controls, app offloading, sharing intents, a child lock, battery health check, and device tracking. Games can be played while downloading, and Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are not supported, nor can the device be used as a PC. OS updates are not delivered directly from the platform vendor.

The Realme P4 5G is equipped with a 7000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 80W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for convenient monitoring. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Realme P4 5G includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Realme P4 5G supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside dual SIM capability, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.4. Wired connectivity is handled via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, while NFC is also present; there is no HDMI output, external memory slot, or DLNA certification. For location and navigation, the device includes GPS, Galileo, a compass, a gyroscope, and an accelerometer, but lacks a barometer, heart rate monitor, infrared sensor, and ANT+ support. Security is managed through a fingerprint scanner, with no 3D facial recognition or iris scanner on board. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent, and no stylus is included.

The Realme P4 5G includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
