Realme P4x

The Realme P4x has a standard candy-bar form factor with no folding mechanism or rugged reinforcement, measuring 165.9 mm tall, 76 mm wide, and 8.4 mm thin, with a total volume of 105.91 cm³ and a weight of 208 g. It carries an IP64 rating, meaning it offers solid protection against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it reasonably resilient for everyday use in light rain or dusty environments.

The Realme P4x features a 6.72″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a 1080 x 2400 px resolution and a pixel density of 392 ppi, delivering a reasonably sharp image across its large panel. The display runs at a 144Hz refresh rate, contributing to smoother on-screen motion, and is protected by branded damage-resistant glass. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen.

The Realme P4x is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 system-on-chip, fabricated on a 4 nm process with 6,200 million transistors and an octa-core CPU arranged in a big.LITTLE configuration running at 4 x 2.6 GHz and 4 x 2 GHz across 8 threads, with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing enabled for efficient workload distribution. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G615 MC2 GPU clocked at 1047 MHz, supporting DirectX 12 and a single external display. The chip ships with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 6400 MHz, a maximum memory bandwidth of 25.6 GB/s, and a maximum supported memory capacity of 16 GB, while 512 GB of internal storage is provided out of the box. Integrated LTE and 64-bit support are both present on the SoC.

The Realme P4x uses a single-lens rear camera with a 50 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, supported by phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though optical image stabilization and laser autofocus are absent. Manual controls cover ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance, while shutter speed adjustment is not available, and the camera does not shoot in RAW format. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support, though slow-motion capture is available. The rear flash consists of two LED units without dual-tone or RGB configurations. On the front, an 8 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies, with no front-facing flash or under-display placement. Additional shooting modes include HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse, while 360-degree panorama and 3D capture are not supported.

The Realme P4x runs Android 15 as a free and open-source operating system, with no direct OS vendor updates delivered independently from the manufacturer. On the privacy front, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Customization options include theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, widget support, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing are unavailable. The software supports split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, app offloading, and the ability to play games while they download. Additional capabilities include on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, phone tracking, multi-user support, battery health check, and a child lock, whereas Quick Start and smartphone-to-PC functionality are not included.

The Realme P4x is equipped with a 7000 mAh non-removable rechargeable battery that supports 45W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it straightforward to monitor charge status. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported.

The Realme P4x includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack, requiring wireless or USB-C audio accessories for wired listening. None of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs are supported, meaning aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent. There is also no built-in radio tuner.

The Realme P4x supports Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6 alongside Bluetooth 5.4 and a USB Type-C port, while 5G is not available — the device operates on a cellular module limited to LTE and below. It accommodates two SIM cards and includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, though a gyroscope, barometer, and infrared sensor are all absent. NFC is not present, and biometric authentication is handled by a fingerprint scanner only, as 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. Features such as satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, ANT+, heart rate monitoring, DLNA certification, HDMI output, motion or optical tracking, and a built-in projector are also not part of the hardware, and no stylus is included.

The Realme P4x includes a video light for illumination during video recording, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
