The Samsung Galaxy Buds3 use a standard earbud fit without wingtips or a neckband, keeping the design minimal and wire-free as fully true wireless earbuds. Each earbud weighs 9.4 g and carries an IP57 ingress protection rating, making them resistant to sweat and capable of handling incidental water exposure. They deliver stereo sound output and arrive without RGB lighting, a UV light, or any built-in display, reflecting a straightforward, functionality-focused form factor.
The Galaxy Buds3 feature an 11 mm driver unit covering a full frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, and they support active noise cancellation (ANC) while lacking passive noise isolation. Spatial audio is supported alongside Dolby Atmos, broadening the perceived soundstage beyond standard stereo playback. The earbuds do not include Dirac Virtuo processing or a neodymium magnet in their driver configuration.
Each earbud holds a 48 mAh rechargeable battery delivering up to 6 hours of playback, which drops to 5 hours with ANC active, while the 515 mAh charging case extends total listening time to 24 hours. A full charge takes 1.1 hours, and the case supports wireless charging in addition to wired charging, though there is no solar power option. A battery level indicator is built in, allowing users to monitor remaining charge across the earbuds and case.
The Galaxy Buds3 connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m, and the charging case uses USB Type-C for wired power delivery. The supported audio codec is AAC, while higher-bandwidth options such as LDAC, LDHC, aptX and all its variants are absent. Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast are not supported, and pairing relies on the standard Bluetooth process without fast pairing or NFC.
The Galaxy Buds3 come with a practical set of features, including ambient sound mode, in-ear detection that can pause playback automatically, and a find device function for locating misplaced earbuds. They support fast charging, carry a mute function, and can operate as a headset for calls, with controls accessible via a panel on the connected device and voice prompts providing audio feedback. A travel bag is included in the box, though there is no in-line control panel, no body temperature sensor, and no built-in camera remote shutter function.
The Galaxy Buds3 are equipped with a total of 6 microphones, and the microphone system includes noise cancellation to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice interactions.
