Samsung Galaxy Watch FE

The Samsung Galaxy Watch FE features a 1.2″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 396 x 396 px and a pixel density of 330 ppi, and it supports an Always-On Display. The watch is protected by a sapphire glass display but does not include branded damage-resistant glass. Its physical footprint measures 40.4 mm in height, 39.3 mm in width, and 9.8 mm in thickness, with a total weight of 26.6 g and a volume of approximately 15.56 cm³. Water protection is rated at IP68 and 5 ATM, with a waterproof depth rating of 50 m. The 20 mm watch band is replaceable, and the watch is not designed for use by children.

The watch includes a heart rate monitor and pulse oximeter for tracking cardiovascular and blood oxygenation data, along with built-in GPS for location tracking. Motion and orientation are handled by an accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass, while a barometer is also present for atmospheric pressure readings. It does not include a body temperature sensor, cadence sensor, or perspiration monitor.

The watch covers a broad range of everyday activity tracking, including steps, distance, pace, elevation, and calorie intake, alongside automatic activity detection and exercise tagging. Sleep is monitored with full reporting, and a route tracker logs movement paths during workouts. It also includes a swim stroke counter, making it suitable for pool use, though it is not designed for diving or golf and does not offer a multi-sport mode.

The watch includes a cellular module, allowing it to operate independently of a paired phone, and connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5 and Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n). NFC is supported for contactless interactions, and Galileo satellite is available for positioning. It is compatible with Android devices but does not support iOS, and ANT+ connectivity is not available.

The watch is powered by a 247 mAh rechargeable battery with a rated life of approximately 0.9 days and a charge time of around 2 hours. It supports wireless charging, so no cable connection is required to recharge. The battery is not removable and there is no solar charging capability.

Health monitoring features include HRV tracking, VO2 max measurement, resting heart rate, fast and slow heart rate notifications, irregular heart rate warnings, ECG technology, and a readiness and recovery indicator. Safety is addressed through fall detection, while convenience features cover wrist notifications, call answering and control, a phone finder, silent alarm, vibrating alerts, stopwatch, voice commands, and a camera remote shutter function. Fast GPS lock is supported, and the single built-in microphone enables voice interaction and call handling. On the hardware side, the watch carries 1.5 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, and it does not include a front camera or a smart alarm. The watch comes with a 1-year warranty.

The companion app is free and ad-free, offering activity reports, calorie burn tracking, an exercise diary, goal setting, achievements, and coaching. Nutrition and body metrics are covered through a food diary, water intake tracking, weight tracking, and BMI tracking, though a barcode scanner is not available. Women's health features include period notifications and cycle start date prediction. The app also supports route planning, voice feedback, music playback, widgets, and inactivity alerts, but does not include temperature tracking.

The watch includes a battery level indicator, auto pause, and passcode protection for basic usability and security. It is compatible with smart scales and external heart rate monitors, expanding its use alongside other fitness accessories. On the compatibility side, it does not support Windows or Mac OS X, and there is no external memory slot or 3.5 mm audio jack.
