Sharp Aquos Wish4

One of its more notable physical attributes is its IP68-rated waterproofing, meaning the device is certified to resist water immersion under standardized conditions. It does not feature a rugged build in the traditional reinforced sense, but the IP68 certification still provides a meaningful level of environmental protection for everyday use.

The Sharp Aquos Wish4 uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.6″ with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 267 ppi. The panel supports a 90Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother on-screen motion during scrolling and general navigation. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and it lacks an Always-On Display mode, branded damage-resistant glass, and a secondary screen.

The Sharp Aquos Wish4 is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, built on a 7 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at 2 x 2.2 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE technology, paired with 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz and 128GB of internal storage expandable up to 1TB. The SoC integrates an LTE modem, a Mali G57 MP2 GPU clocked at up to 950 MHz with 32 shading units, and supports DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s across 2 memory channels and a TDP of 10W. In benchmarks, the device scores 333,193 on AnTuTu, 1,855 and 696 on Geekbench 6 multi- and single-core respectively, 8,607 on PCMark Work 3.0, and 1,149.4 on 3DMark Wild Life, while also supporting NX bit and TrustZone security features; ECC memory is not supported.

The Sharp Aquos Wish4 features a single-lens 50 MP CMOS rear camera capable of recording video at 1080p and 60 fps, with continuous autofocus during recording, phase-detection autofocus for stills, touch autofocus, and slow-motion video support. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, and shooting modes include HDR, burst, timelapse, and in-camera panorama, though manual shutter speed, RAW capture, 360° panorama, laser autofocus, and optical zoom are not available. The rear camera is backed by a single LED flash — not dual-tone or RGB — while the 8 MP front camera is a single-lens unit with no front-facing flash and is mounted conventionally rather than under the display; neither HDR10 nor Dolby Vision recording is supported on either camera, and optical image stabilization is absent.

The Sharp Aquos Wish4 runs Android 14 and comes with a broad set of privacy controls, including location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, clipboard warnings, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not included. On the usability side, the device supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, a child lock, multi-user support, sharing intents, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are absent. It also offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device tracking, battery health monitoring, and the ability to play games while they download; OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor, and the platform is noted as free and open source.

The Sharp Aquos Wish4 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable and includes a battery level indicator. The device does not support wireless charging or fast charging, meaning it relies solely on standard wired charging to replenish power.

The Sharp Aquos Wish4 has a notably limited audio feature set. It does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack or stereo speakers, and there is no built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards are supported, meaning aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.
