The Shokz OpenFit Air feature an open-ear fit with no neckband, sitting outside the ear canal and secured with included wingtips for added stability. They are fully wireless, weigh just 17.4 g, and carry an IP54 ingress protection rating, meaning they can handle sweat and minor moisture exposure during workouts or daily wear. Stereo speakers are built in, and the absence of any wires or neckband keeps the overall form factor light and unobtrusive.

The earbuds do not include active noise cancellation or passive noise reduction, which is consistent with their open-ear design that keeps ambient sound fully audible. There is no neodymium magnet in the driver assembly.
Each earbud holds a 40 mAh rechargeable battery delivering 6 hours of playback, while the charging case carries 600 mAh for a combined total of 22 hours before needing a wall outlet. The charging case uses a USB Type-C port for wired charging, and the earbuds themselves operate entirely wirelessly during use.
The OpenFit Air support multipoint connection to two devices simultaneously and can be used as a headset, with a mute function and voice prompts rounding out the call-related functionality. Controls are handled via a panel on the earbuds themselves rather than an in-line remote, and fast charging is supported for quicker top-ups. A travel bag is included in the box, while ambient sound mode, in/on-ear detection, a find-device feature, and a body temperature sensor are all absent.
The OpenFit Air are equipped with a four-microphone array that includes noise-canceling capability, helping to reduce unwanted background sound during calls. Microphone sensitivity is rated at -38dBV/Pa, reflecting the pickup level of the microphone system.
