The Skullcandy Ink'd ANC use an in-ear fit and are fully wireless, with no cables or neckband involved in the design. They carry an IPX4 rating, making them sweat resistant during physical activity. Stereo speakers are present, while features such as RGB lighting, wingtips, a display, and UV light are not part of the design.
The Ink'd ANC combines active noise cancellation with passive noise reduction, addressing both powered and physical isolation of external sound. Audio is handled by a 10 mm driver unit with a frequency range spanning 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. The earbuds do not support spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, or Dirac Virtuo, and the driver does not use a neodymium magnet.
The Ink'd ANC is equipped with a rechargeable battery offering 8 hours of playback, while the charging case extends the total to 35 hours. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and a battery level indicator is included to keep track of remaining power. Wireless charging and solar battery options are not supported.
The Ink'd ANC connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m, and uses USB Type-C for wired charging. Advanced audio codecs including LDAC, LDHC, AAC, and the full aptX family are not supported, nor is Bluetooth LE Audio or Auracast. Fast pairing and NFC pairing are also absent, keeping the connection options straightforward.
The Ink'd ANC includes ambient sound mode, a mute function, voice prompts, and can be used as a headset, with controls placed directly on the device. Multipoint connectivity supports up to two devices simultaneously, and fast charging is available for quick top-ups. A travel bag is included in the box. Features not present include in/on-ear detection, notification reading, a built-in translator, an in-line control panel, a temperature sensor, and a camera remote shutter function.
The Ink'd ANC features a quad-microphone setup with noise-canceling capability, supporting clearer voice pickup during calls and voice interactions.
