The Soundpeats Air 5 Lite adopts a standard earbud fit and is fully true wireless, with no cables or neckband involved. Each earbud weighs 8.94 g and features stereo speakers, keeping the physical design straightforward without RGB lighting, wingtips, a display, or UV light. For durability against moisture, the earbuds carry an IPX5 rating, meaning they are water resistant and can handle splashes during everyday use.
The Soundpeats Air 5 Lite uses a 13 mm driver unit and covers a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, spanning the full standard range of human hearing. It supports spatial audio for a more dimensional listening experience, though it does not include active noise cancellation, passive noise reduction, Dolby Atmos, Dirac Virtuo, or a neodymium magnet.
Each earbud holds a 35 mAh rechargeable battery rated for 8 hours of playback, while the 400 mAh charging case contributes an additional 22 hours, bringing the total available listening time to around 30 hours. A full charge takes approximately 1 hour, and a battery level indicator is included to help track remaining power. The earbuds do not support wireless charging or solar charging, so replenishment relies on a wired connection.
The Soundpeats Air 5 Lite connects wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.4 with a maximum range of 10 m, and supports the LDAC and AAC codecs for audio transmission. The charging case uses USB Type-C for wired charging. On the codec side, aptX in its various forms — including aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Lossless, and aptX Voice — is not supported, nor is LDHC or Bluetooth LE Audio. Additional connectivity features such as fast pairing, NFC pairing, and Auracast are also absent.
The Soundpeats Air 5 Lite includes a handful of practical features for daily use, among them a find device function, a mute option, voice prompts, and the ability to function as a headset for calls. Controls are handled via a panel placed on the earbuds themselves rather than an in-line remote, and fast charging is supported to reduce downtime. A travel bag is included in the box for storage and portability. The earbuds do not offer ambient sound mode, in-ear detection for auto-pause, notification readout, a built-in translator, a body temperature sensor, or a camera remote shutter function.
The Soundpeats Air 5 Lite is equipped with a total of 4 microphones, and the array includes noise-canceling microphone technology to help reduce unwanted background sound during calls and voice use.
