Tecno Camon 30 Pro

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro has a non-folding, non-rugged form factor with dimensions of 164 mm in height, 74.5 mm in width, and a 7.7 mm thickness, resulting in a total volume of 94.0786 cm³. It weighs 188.6 g and offers no water resistance rating, meaning it lacks any certified protection against moisture or dust exposure.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.78″ with a resolution of 1080 x 2436 px and a pixel density of 393 ppi. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and includes an Always-On Display mode, while it does not feature branded damage-resistant glass, HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision support. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 8200 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of 1 x 3.1, 3 x 3, and 4 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies, alongside a Mali G610 MP6 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with DirectX 12 and OpenCL 2 support. It comes with 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM at 6400 MHz across 4 memory channels, a maximum memory capacity of 16 GB, 51.2 GB/s memory bandwidth, a 4 MB L3 cache, and 512 GB of internal storage. The chipset includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics, NX bit, TrustZone, and operates at a TDP of 6W. Benchmark results include an AnTuTu score of 949357, Geekbench 6 multi-core and single-core scores of 3891 and 1224 respectively, Geekbench 5 scores of 3889 (multi) and 998 (single), a PCMark Work 3.0 performance score of 15162, and a battery benchmark result of 641 minutes.

The rear camera system is a multi-lens setup consisting of 50 MP, 50 MP, and 2 MP sensors, supported by a CMOS sensor, optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, while laser autofocus is not included. The main camera captures video at up to 2160 x 30 fps and supports slow-motion recording, though HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not available. For stills, the camera offers a broad manual control set including exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, along with HDR mode, burst mode, panorama, and timelapse, but it does not shoot RAW files, support manual shutter speed, or capture 360-degree panoramas. Flash is provided via two LED units, though they do not form a dual-tone or RGB configuration. The 50 MP single-lens front camera is a standard placement — not under the display — and has no dedicated flash or additional lens.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls covering location access, camera and microphone permissions, clipboard warnings, and app tracking blocking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. On the customization side, it supports dynamic theming, theme customization, dark mode, extra dim mode, customizable notifications, and widgets, while focus modes and app offloading are absent. Usability features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, Live Text, sharing intents, child lock, multi-user support, and the ability to play games while they download, though Quick Start and PC mode are not supported. The system also provides on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, and a battery health check tool, but does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor and does not support Wi-Fi password sharing.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 70W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. Wireless charging is not available. The device features a battery level indicator, making it straightforward to monitor remaining charge at a glance.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro features stereo speakers and a built-in radio, but does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro supports 5G connectivity with download and upload speeds of up to 4700 MBits/s and 2500 MBits/s respectively, and accommodates two SIM cards. Wi-Fi coverage spans Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), while Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC are also on board. The USB Type-C port runs on USB 2.0, and there is no external memory slot or HDMI output. For navigation and sensing, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and an infrared sensor, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+, motion tracking, and optical tracking are absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not featured. The device does not include a stylus, built-in projector, crash detection, satellite SOS, or DLNA certification.

The Tecno Camon 30 Pro includes a video light for use during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
