The device is a standard candy-bar smartphone with no folding mechanism.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro features a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2436 px and a pixel density of 393 ppi, producing a sharp and vivid image. The panel runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a typical brightness of 1000 nits, while its 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio is a characteristic advantage of OLED technology. Always-On Display is supported, though the screen does not carry branded damage-resistant glass and lacks HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision certification. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100, a 6 nm octa-core chipset configured as 2 cores at 2.2 GHz and 6 cores at 2.0 GHz, using big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for efficient workload distribution. It is paired with 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM running at 4266 MHz and 256 GB of internal storage, with the platform supporting a maximum of 12 GB of memory and a peak memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 GPU clocked at 1000 MHz, which supports DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset also integrates LTE, includes ARM TrustZone for security, operates as a 64-bit platform with 8 threads, and carries a thermal design power of 5W. The device records an AnTuTu benchmark score of approximately 420,000.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro features a dual-lens rear camera system with a 50 MP primary sensor and a 2 MP secondary lens, built on a CMOS sensor with optical image stabilization and a dual-tone LED flash using two LEDs. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The rear camera supports HDR mode, slow-motion video recording, burst mode, panorama, and a range of manual controls covering exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance; however, it does not shoot RAW files, lacks a manual shutter speed option, and offers no optical zoom. HDR10 and Dolby Vision video recording are not supported, nor are 3D or 360-degree panorama capture modes. On the front, a single-lens 50 MP camera is accompanied by a dedicated LED flash, though it is a conventional punch-hole placement rather than an under-display design, and there is no multi-lens arrangement on the front.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro runs Android 14, bringing a broad set of privacy and usability features to the platform. On the privacy side, it includes clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. The interface supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is aided by split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, widgets, sharing intents, and Live Text. The system also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, multi-user accounts, a child lock, battery health check, and phone tracking. Games can be played while downloading, and the OS is free and open source. Features not available include focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, direct OS vendor updates, and the ability to use the device as a PC.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports both wired and wireless charging. Wired fast charging tops out at 45W, while wireless charging is available at up to 20W; a charger is included in the box. Reverse wireless charging is not supported. A battery level indicator is present, giving users a clear readout of remaining charge at a glance.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro includes stereo speakers and a built-in radio, but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codecs are supported — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro supports a cellular module with dual SIM capability, reaching download speeds of up to 650 Mbit/s and upload speeds of 150 Mbit/s, though 5G is not available. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and NFC, while wired connectivity is provided via USB Type-C with USB 2.0. The sensor suite includes a fingerprint scanner, GPS with Galileo support, gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and an infrared sensor, making it a reasonably well-equipped device for navigation and motion-aware applications. Features absent from this model include a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, HDMI output, 3D facial recognition, iris scanner, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, DLNA certification, motion and optical tracking, a built-in projector, and a stylus.

The Tecno Camon 30S Pro features a curved display and includes a video light for use during video recording. The screen is not made of sapphire glass, and the device does not use an e-paper display.
