On the durability front, the handset carries an IP54 rating, meaning it offers meaningful resistance to dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, though it is not designed for submersion.

The Tecno Pova 6 Neo 5G uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.67″ and running at a 120Hz refresh rate, which helps deliver smoother motion during scrolling and general navigation. The panel resolves at 720 x 1600 px with a pixel density of 263 ppi. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, nor does it feature an Always-On Display mode or a secondary screen, and the glass protecting the display is not a branded damage-resistant variety.

The Tecno Pova 6 Neo 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm octa-core chipset configured as two performance cores running at 2.4 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2.0 GHz, with 8 threads in total. It supports big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP), multithreading, and 64-bit processing. Graphics are handled by an integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, with DirectX 12 support. The device ships with 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 12 GB — and 256 GB of internal storage, with a memory bandwidth ceiling of 17.07 GB/s. Cache is arranged across 512 KB of L1, 1 MB of L2, and 2 MB of L3. In benchmarks, the chipset scores 421,000 on AnTuTu, 2012 on Geekbench 6 multi-core, and 782 on single-core, while integrated LTE is handled directly on the SoC.

Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. On-device machine learning is supported, as are offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device position tracking. The battery health check tool is present, and a child lock is available for parental control purposes. Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are not supported, and OS updates do not come directly from the platform vendor.

The Tecno Pova 6 Neo 5G is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that is sealed into the chassis and cannot be removed. It supports 18W fast charging via cable, though wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator keeps the user informed of remaining charge at a glance.

The Tecno Pova 6 Neo 5G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired listening and features stereo speakers for built-in audio output. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Tecno Pova 6 Neo 5G supports 5G cellular connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with a maximum download speed of 3300 Mbit/s. Wireless networking covers Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.3 is on board alongside NFC for short-range communication.
