Tecno Spark 20 Pro

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro has a non-folding, non-rugged form factor measuring 168.6 mm tall, 76.6 mm wide, and 8.4 mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 108.5 cm³ and a weight of 179 g. It carries an IP53 rating, offering basic water resistance against light splashes and dust, though it is not built to withstand full submersion.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro uses a 6.78″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 px and a pixel density of 396 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion. The display does not feature branded damage-resistant glass, and HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display are all absent. There is no secondary screen.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99, a 6 nm chipset with an 8-thread big.LITTLE CPU running at up to 2.2 GHz, integrated LTE, and TrustZone security support. It is paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 4266 MHz and 256GB of internal storage via eMMC 5.1, with a maximum supported memory amount of 12GB and expandable storage of up to 1024GB. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with a turbo speed of 2133 MHz, 32 shading units, and support for up to 2 displays, along with DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset operates at a TDP of 5W with a maximum CPU temperature of 95 °C, a peak memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s across two memory channels, and uses HMP for workload distribution. Benchmark results include an AnTuTu score of 420,000, Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core results of 729 and 1,928 respectively, a PCMark Work 3.0 performance score of 10,680 with a battery endurance result of 728 minutes, and a 3DMark Steel Nomad score of 133.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro features a multi-lens rear camera system led by a 108 MP CMOS sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a pixel size of 0.64 µm, though optical image stabilization, a back-illuminated sensor, and laser autofocus are not present. Autofocus is handled via phase-detection and touch AF, with continuous autofocus available during video recording. The rear camera supports video up to 1440p at 30 fps, along with slow-motion recording, HDR, timelapse, in-camera panoramas, burst mode, and manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance; manual shutter speed, 360-degree panorama, RAW capture, and 3D recording are not available. There is no optical zoom. Flash is provided by four LEDs in a dual-tone configuration, without RGB flash. On the front, a 32 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.2 aperture is positioned in a standard cutout — not under the display — and has no front-facing flash.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro runs Android 13 and includes a solid set of privacy controls covering clipboard warnings, location options, and camera and microphone access management, with the ability to block app tracking; cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. The software supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is aided by split-screen support, Picture-in-Picture, a media picker, customizable notifications, full-page scrolling screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. App offloading, focus modes, Quick Start, Wi-Fi password sharing, a battery health check, and direct OS updates from the vendor are absent. On-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, multi-user support, a child lock, and widgets round out the feature set, and the platform is free and open source.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 33W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. Wireless charging is not available. The device also features an ultra power-saving mode and a battery level indicator for managing remaining charge.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, and a built-in radio, covering a broad base of audio output options. Bluetooth audio codec support is limited, with aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC all absent.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro supports dual SIM cellular connectivity with download speeds of up to 650 Mbits/s and upload speeds of up to 150 Mbits/s, though 5G is not available. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Wi-Fi 4, alongside Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC, while the USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0 speeds. An external memory slot is present for storage expansion, and a fingerprint scanner is included for biometric authentication; 3D facial recognition, an iris scanner, and a stylus are not part of the package. Sensors include GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, while a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and ANT+ support are all absent. Satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, DLNA certification, HDMI output, and a built-in projector are likewise not featured.

The Tecno Spark 20 Pro includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel is used.
