Tecno Spark 30 5G

It carries an IP54 ingress protection rating, meaning it offers resistance against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, though it is not built to a rugged standard.

The Tecno Spark 30 5G features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720 x 1600 px at 263 ppi. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision enhanced color formats. There is no Always-On Display mode and no secondary screen present on this device.

The Tecno Spark 30 5G is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, fabricated on a 6 nm process and configured with 8 threads running at 2 x 2.4 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz via big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support. It is paired with 8 GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz, offering a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s and support for up to 12 GB total, alongside 256 GB of internal storage. Graphics are handled by the integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, with DirectX 12 support. The chipset supports 64-bit processing and multithreading, includes integrated LTE, and the cache hierarchy consists of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. Benchmark results place the device at 425,000 on AnTuTu, with Geekbench 6 scores of 782 single-core and 2012 multi-core.

The Tecno Spark 30 5G runs Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. Personalization options include theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is aided by full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, Live Text, offline voice recognition, and voice commands. On the privacy side, the device offers location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, clipboard warnings, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking protection and Mail Privacy Protection are not included. Additional practical features cover battery health checks, a child lock, phone tracking, and on-device machine learning. Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and PC mode are absent, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Tecno Spark 30 5G houses a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a built-in level indicator. It supports 18W fast charging, allowing for quicker top-ups over a wired connection, though wireless charging is not available on this device.

The Tecno Spark 30 5G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

For navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, while a fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication — 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. The device does not include a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, or HDMI output, and there is no support for ANT+, DLNA, satellite SOS, crash detection, motion tracking, optical tracking, or a built-in projector. A stylus is also not included.

The Tecno Spark 30 5G includes a video light to assist with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
