Tecno Spark 30 Pro

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro has a standard, non-folding form factor with dimensions of 166.6 × 77 × 7.4mm and a weight of 188g, giving it a relatively slim profile for its size. It carries an IP54 ingress protection rating, meaning it can handle dust contact and water splashes from any direction, though it does not feature a rugged build. The total volume of the device comes in at approximately 94.93 cm³, and while it offers everyday water resistance, it is not designed for submersion or harsh environmental conditions.

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro features a 6.78″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels and a pixel density of 393 ppi, producing a sharp and vibrant image. The panel runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and reaches a typical brightness of 1700 nits, while Always-On Display functionality is also supported. The screen does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision; the device also has no secondary screen.

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 chipset, built on a 6nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 2 x 2.2GHz and 6 x 2GHz, supported by 8 threads and big.LITTLE architecture with HMP for efficient workload distribution. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM running at 4266MHz and 256GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 12GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 GPU clocked at 1000MHz, supporting DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, while the chip also includes integrated LTE and ARM TrustZone security. The SoC operates within a 5W thermal design power envelope, and the device records an AnTuTu benchmark score of approximately 420,000, with full 64-bit support across the platform.

The main camera on the Tecno Spark 30 Pro uses a single-lens CMOS sensor with a 108MP resolution and an f/1.9 aperture, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though it lacks optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, and a back-illuminated sensor. Video capture reaches up to 1440p at 30fps, with slow-motion recording also available, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is absent, and the camera can shoot burst sequences, panoramas, and timelapses but does not shoot in RAW format or capture 360-degree panoramas. Illumination is provided by a quad-LED dual-tone flash, with no RGB flash or front-facing flash. The 13MP front camera is a single-lens unit positioned above the display, without an under-display or dual-lens configuration, and has no dedicated flash of its own.

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera/microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is supported. On the customization side, the device offers theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications, and widget support, while focus modes and app offloading are not included. Productivity features span split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The system also supports multi-user accounts, a child lock, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone tracking, and it is based on a free and open-source foundation. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided, and Quick Start and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent as well.

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro is equipped with a 5000mAh rechargeable battery that supports 33W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. Wireless charging is not available, and the battery is non-removable. The device features a battery level indicator and an ultra power-saving mode for extending usage when charge is running low.

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro covers the essentials for audio output, offering stereo speakers and a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired listening, along with a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codec options are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC.

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC, while 5G is not available — the device operates on a 4G cellular module with download speeds of up to 650 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s. It accommodates two SIM cards and includes an external memory slot for expandable storage. The USB Type-C port runs on USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. For navigation, GPS, Galileo, a compass, and an accelerometer are all present, and the device also includes a gyroscope and an infrared sensor, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, motion tracking, and optical tracking are absent. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, with no 3D facial recognition or iris scanner on board. Features such as satellite SOS, crash detection, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, and a stylus are not included.

The Tecno Spark 30 Pro includes a video light for illumination during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
