Tecno Spark 30C (128GB / 6GB RAM)

The Tecno Spark 30C has a standard candy-bar form factor — it cannot be folded and does not feature a rugged build. It measures 163.7mm tall, 75.6mm wide, and 8.55mm thick, with a total volume of approximately 105.81 cm³ and a weight of 191g. On the durability side, the device carries an IP54 rating, meaning it offers meaningful resistance to dust ingress and splash water from any direction, making it reasonably suitable for everyday outdoor use in light rain or dusty environments.

The Tecno Spark 30C features a 6.67-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 px and a pixel density of 263 ppi. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother on-screen motion, and reaches a typical brightness of 500 nits. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen on this device.

The Tecno Spark 30C is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra, a 12nm octa-core chipset using big.LITTLE architecture with two cores clocked at 2GHz and six cores at 1.8GHz, supported by 6GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1800MHz across two memory channels with a maximum bandwidth of 13.41 GB/s. Graphics are handled by an integrated Mali G52 MP2 GPU with 2 execution units, 32 shading units, and a turbo clock of 950MHz, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset includes 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage — expandable externally up to 1TB — along with an L2 cache of 0.3MB and an L3 cache of 1MB, a TDP of 5W, and a transistor count of approximately 5,500 million. It supports 64-bit processing, integrated LTE, and ARM TrustZone security. AnTuTu benchmark results come in at 262,145, with Geekbench 6 scores of 420 single-core and 1,391 multi-core, while Geekbench 5 records 350 and 1,300 respectively.

The Tecno Spark 30C has a single-lens 50MP rear camera capable of recording video at 1080p and 30fps, with phase-detection autofocus for stills, continuous autofocus during video, and touch autofocus support. Manual controls cover ISO, exposure, focus, and white balance, and the camera also offers HDR mode, burst shooting, and in-camera panorama — though manual shutter speed, slow-motion video, RAW capture, laser autofocus, and 360-degree panorama are not available. The rear flash is a single dual-tone LED unit without RGB capability. On the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2 aperture, mounted in a conventional position rather than under the display, and it is a single-lens setup with no front-facing flash. Neither 3D photo or video recording nor dual-lens configurations are present on either camera.

The Tecno Spark 30C runs Android 14 and includes a solid set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking — though cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not present. On the usability side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, and an extra dim mode. It also features on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, device tracking, multi-user support, a battery health check, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Tecno Spark 30C is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 18W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. Wireless charging is not available. The device features a battery level indicator and an ultra power-saving mode for extending usage when the charge runs low.

The Tecno Spark 30C includes a 3.5mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for audio output. It does not support any advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent — and there is no built-in radio tuner.

The Tecno Spark 30C supports dual SIM cards and connects over 4G LTE — there is no 5G support — with maximum download and upload speeds of 300 Mbits/s and 100 Mbits/s respectively. It features Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, a fingerprint scanner, GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an infrared sensor. External storage expansion is available via a dedicated memory card slot. NFC, HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+, and a barometer are absent, and the device does not include a heart rate monitor, built-in projector, stylus, or any form of motion or optical tracking. Biometric security is limited to the fingerprint scanner, as 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present, and safety features such as crash detection and emergency SOS via satellite are also not included.

The Tecno Spark 30C includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
