Tecno Spark 30C 5G

The Tecno Spark 30C 5G has a non-folding, non-rugged body measuring 165 mm tall, 77 mm wide, and 8 mm thick, with a total volume of 101.64 cm³. It carries an IP54 rating, which means the device is protected against dust ingress and splashes from any direction, making it water resistant for everyday handling in light wet conditions.

The display is a touchscreen IPS LCD panel measuring 6.67″ with a resolution of 720 x 1600 px and a pixel density of 111 ppi. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, contributing to smoother motion during scrolling and general use. The screen does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or Always-On Display functionality. There is also no secondary screen on this device.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm octa-core chipset with two performance cores clocked at 2.4 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2 GHz, supporting big.LITTLE architecture, HMP, multithreading across 8 threads, and integrated LTE. Graphics are handled by the Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU running at 950 MHz with DirectX 12 support, while the chipset scores 262,000 on AnTuTu, 782 single-core and 2,012 multi-core on Geekbench 6. The device ships with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz and 128 GB of internal storage, with the platform supporting up to 12 GB of memory and a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. The processor includes 512 KB of L1 cache, 1 MB of L2 cache, and 2 MB of L3 cache, and the system fully supports 64-bit processing.

The main camera is a single-lens 48 MP shooter with phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video, and a range of manual controls covering exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. It records video at up to 1080p at 30 fps with slow-motion support, but does not offer optical zoom, optical image stabilization, HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, or the ability to shoot in RAW format. Lighting is assisted by three LED flash units, though there is no dual-tone or RGB flash configuration. The front camera resolves at 8 MP as a single-lens setup without an under-display placement or a front-facing flash. Both cameras support HDR mode and in-camera panorama, but 360-degree panorama and 3D capture are not featured.

The device runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the customization side, it supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and customizable notifications, while focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are not available. Usability features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they download. The OS also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device tracking, multi-user accounts, and battery health monitoring, though direct OS updates from the vendor and the ability to use the device as a PC are not supported.

The device is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 18W fast charging over cable, while wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present, keeping the user informed of remaining charge at a glance.

On the audio side, the device includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for wired listening and built-in playback. However, none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs are supported, meaning aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.

The device supports 5G connectivity alongside Wi-Fi, a cellular module, and a maximum download speed of 3300 MBits/s, while accommodating two SIM cards and offering an external memory slot for additional storage. It features USB Type-C, NFC, GPS with Galileo support, an accelerometer, and a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. Satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, DLNA certification, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, an infrared sensor, a barometer, HDMI output, a stylus, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent from this device.

The device includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel are featured.
