Tecno Spark Go 1

The Tecno Spark Go 1 has a non-folding, non-rugged design that measures 165.6 mm tall, 77 mm wide, and 8.4 mm thick, with a total volume of 107.11 cm³ and a weight of 189 g. A practical highlight is its IP54 ingress protection rating, which means the device carries an official water-resistant certification capable of handling splashes and light exposure to water, adding a degree of everyday durability to its otherwise standard build.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 features a 6.67″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 px and a pixel density of 263 ppi, offering a reasonably sized viewing area for everyday use. One of its more notable display traits is its 120Hz refresh rate, which enables smoother scrolling and on-screen motion. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, nor does it include an Always-On Display mode or branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no secondary screen present on the device.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 is driven by the Unisoc T615 chipset, built on a 12 nm process with an octa-core CPU arranged in a big.LITTLE configuration running at 2 x 1.8 GHz and 6 x 1.6 GHz across 8 threads, alongside a Mali G57 GPU clocked at 850 MHz with 2 execution units and 64 shading units. The SoC supports 64-bit processing, integrated LTE, integrated graphics, TrustZone security, multithreading, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, with a thermal design power of 10W. The device ships with 4GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1866 MHz and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, while the maximum supported memory amount reaches 12GB and the L3 cache stands at 1 MB. In benchmark testing, it achieves an AnTuTu score of 308,600, a Geekbench 6 single-core result of 437 and multi-core result of 1,461, and Geekbench 5 scores of 357 single-core and 1,350 multi-core.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 features a single-lens 13 MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and a CMOS sensor, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video recording, and manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. It records video at 1080p and 30 fps and also supports slow-motion recording, HDR mode, burst mode, and in-camera panoramas, but does not offer optical zoom, 360° panorama, RAW capture, HDR10 recording, Dolby Vision recording, or 3D photo and video capabilities. Flash is provided by two LED units, though dual-tone and RGB flash configurations are absent. On the front, an 8 MP single-lens camera handles selfies without a front-facing flash or an under-display placement.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 runs Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, an extra dim mode, and full-page scrolling screenshots. Privacy-conscious users will find clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not included. The OS also offers customizable notifications with permission controls, a media picker, a child lock, sharing intents, device tracking, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, and voice commands, as well as a battery health check tool and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Features not present include focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC, and the phone does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 15W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for quick at-a-glance monitoring, though wireless charging is not supported.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 covers the audio basics with stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, the device does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC, so high-resolution and enhanced Bluetooth audio codecs are absent.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 supports Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.2, with a dual SIM configuration and a USB Type-C port for wired connectivity. Cellular support is present, though the device is limited to LTE and does not offer 5G. Download speeds reach up to 300 Mbits/s and upload up to 150 Mbits/s. For location, it includes GPS with Galileo support, and the sensor suite covers an accelerometer and an infrared sensor. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not available. Storage can be expanded via an external memory slot. Features absent from this model include NFC, HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+ support, a heart rate monitor, a barometer, a built-in projector, motion tracking, optical tracking, crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, and a stylus.

The Tecno Spark Go 1 includes a video light for illumination during video recording, while the display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
