The Tribit Stormbox Mini has a compact physical footprint, measuring 119 mm in height with a width and thickness of 91 mm each, and a total volume of 985.439 cm³, weighing in at 708 g. It houses two 48 mm drivers and carries an IPX7 ingress protection rating, confirming solid water resistance for outdoor use. Controls are placed directly on the device itself, while features such as a touch screen, RGB lighting, remote control, detachable cable, and a travel bag are not included.
The speaker delivers 2 x 6W of audio output power across a frequency range of 80 Hz to 20,000 Hz, and includes a passive radiator to support low-frequency reproduction without a dedicated subwoofer. It does not feature stereo speakers or magnetic shielding, keeping the acoustic configuration straightforward and compact.
The speaker is powered by a built-in 2,600 mAh rechargeable battery that provides up to 12 hours of playback on a full charge, which is reached in approximately 2.5 hours. A battery level indicator is included to help track remaining charge. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.
Wireless connectivity is handled via Bluetooth 5.4, with a maximum range of 30 m, while an AUX input and a single USB Type-C port cover wired connection options. NFC pairing, Wi-Fi, Ethernet, Auracast, AirPlay, Chromecast, and Bluetooth LE Audio are not supported, and the unit lacks an external memory slot, a microphone input, and a 3.5 mm audio jack socket. On the audio codec side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codecs — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, aptX Low Latency, LDAC, or AAC — are available.
The speaker can be used wirelessly and supports remote smartphone control, while voice prompts and a sleep timer are also on board for added convenience. Fast pairing, voice commands, a mute function, and built-in radio are not available, and the unit cannot function as a power bank.
The speaker supports stereo pairing, allowing two compatible units to be linked together for stereo sound playback.
