It carries an IPX6 water-resistance rating, meaning it can handle powerful water jets without damage, which makes it suitable for outdoor use in wet conditions. The speaker houses four drivers and includes a control panel directly on the device along with a detachable cable, offering a degree of convenience in daily handling. It does not include a travel bag, remote control, touch screen, RGB lighting, or a neodymium magnet, and it is not designed as a neckband-style speaker.
The Tronsmart Bang features stereo speakers powered by four drivers with a combined output of 4 x 15W, delivering a total of 60W across the stereo field. Its frequency response spans from 55 Hz at the low end up to 20,000 Hz at the high end, covering a broad audible range. The speaker reaches a sound pressure level of 105 dB/mW, indicating a considerable maximum loudness capability for a portable unit.
The Tronsmart Bang is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery rated for 15 hours of playback, with a full charge taking approximately 4.5 hours via cable. It does not support Wi-Fi, Ethernet, AirPlay, Chromecast, Auracast, DLNA, or Bluetooth LE Audio, and none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, aptX Low Latency, AAC, or LDAC — are supported. The Tronsmart Bang can be used wirelessly and supports smartphone remote control, allowing playback management from a connected device. It includes voice commands and voice prompts, giving users hands-free interaction and spoken feedback during use. A sleep timer is also available for scheduled shutoff. The speaker does not offer fast pairing, a mute function, built-in radio, or the ability to function as a power bank for charging other devices.
The Tronsmart Bang supports stereo pairing, allowing two compatible units to be linked together for a dedicated stereo sound setup.
