Ulefone Armor 27

The Ulefone Armor 27 features a rugged build with an IP68 ingress protection rating, making it fully waterproof and suited for use in harsh environments. It is not a folding device, maintaining a fixed form factor that measures 182.8 mm in height, 86.8 mm in width, and 18.5 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 293.54 cm³. At 441 g, it carries a substantial weight consistent with its heavy-duty construction.

The Ulefone Armor 27 uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.78″ with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a pixel density of 396 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image. The panel runs at a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother motion, and is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus for enhanced resistance against scratches and impacts. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen present.

The Ulefone Armor 27 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, built on a 6 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 2 x 2.2 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz, supported by 8 threads, big.LITTLE technology, and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP). It is paired with 12GB of DDR4 RAM at 4266 MHz across 2 memory channels, offering a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.1 GB/s, while 256GB of eMMC 5.2 internal storage handles data retention. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 GPU clocked at 950 MHz with a turbo frequency of 2133 MHz, 32 shading units, support for up to 2 displays, DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset supports 64-bit processing, integrated LTE, integrated graphics, and ARM TrustZone security, with a thermal design power of 5W and a maximum CPU temperature of 95 °C. Geekbench 6 results stand at 729 for single-core and 1979 for multi-core performance.

The Ulefone Armor 27 features a triple rear camera system with sensors at 64 MP, 50 MP, and 50 MP, paired with apertures of f/1.8, f/2.2, and f/2.0 respectively, all using CMOS sensors without back-side illumination. The main camera supports phase-detection autofocus for photos, continuous autofocus during video, and touch autofocus, though optical image stabilization, laser autofocus, and optical zoom are absent. Video recording reaches up to 1440 x 30 fps, with slow-motion recording available, while HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. Two LED flash units accompany the rear cameras, though they do not form a dual-tone or RGB configuration. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while manual shutter speed and RAW shooting are not available; burst mode, panorama, and timelapse round out the shooting options. The 32 MP front camera sits at an f/2.5 aperture in a standard single-lens setup without an under-display placement or front-facing flash.

The Ulefone Armor 27 runs on Android 14, a free and open-source platform that supports multiple user accounts and offers a broad set of privacy controls, including clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is present, while direct OS updates from the vendor are not provided. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, and an extra dim mode, though focus modes and app offloading are absent. Practical usability features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, sharing intents, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they download. Voice capabilities cover both voice commands and offline voice recognition, and the device supports phone tracking and Live Text selection from images. Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are not supported, and the device cannot function as a PC.

The Ulefone Armor 27 houses a 10600 mAh rechargeable battery with a built-in level indicator, and a charger is included in the box. It supports 33W wired fast charging alongside 30W wireless charging, and can also act as a wireless charger for other devices at 5W through reverse wireless charging. The battery is not removable.

The Ulefone Armor 27 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers, along with a built-in radio. For wireless audio, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec options are available, as the device does not support aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC.

The Ulefone Armor 27 supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6, with download speeds up to 650 Mbit/s and upload speeds up to 150 Mbit/s, though 5G is not available. Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC are both present, and the device charges and transfers data through a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, with an external memory slot available for storage expansion. An HDMI output is not included. On the sensor side, the device is equipped with a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, barometer, infrared sensor, GPS with Galileo support, and a fingerprint scanner, while a heart rate monitor, motion tracking, optical tracking, iris scanner, and 3D facial recognition are absent. Crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, ANT+ support, DLNA certification, a built-in projector, and a stylus are likewise not featured.

The Ulefone Armor 27 includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no e-paper technology, and is not protected by sapphire glass.
