Ulefone Armor X31 Pro

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro features a rugged build designed to withstand harsh conditions, backed by an IP68 ingress protection rating that classifies it as fully waterproof. The handset measures 173.8 mm in height, 82 mm in width, and 13.7 mm in thickness, with a total volume of 195.24692 cm³. At 306 g, it sits on the heavier end of the smartphone spectrum, which is typical for devices constructed with durability in mind. It does not fold, following a conventional fixed-body form factor.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro uses a 6.56″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px and a pixel density of 269 ppi, delivering a reasonably detailed image across its panel. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother scrolling and on-screen motion. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, offering resistance against scratches and accidental impacts. There is no Always-On Display mode, and the screen does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision; the device also lacks a secondary screen.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, fabricated on a 6 nm process and paired with 8GB of DDR4 RAM running at 2133 MHz, alongside 256GB of internal storage and a maximum supported memory amount of 12GB. The octa-core CPU runs at speeds of 2 x 2.4 GHz and 6 x 2 GHz across 8 threads, making use of big.LITTLE architecture and Heterogeneous Multi-Processing for more efficient workload distribution. Graphics are handled by the integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU clocked at 950 MHz, with DirectX 12 support. The chipset also features integrated LTE, supports 64-bit processing and multithreading, and achieves a maximum memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s. Cache configuration includes 512 KB of L1, 1 MB of L2, and 2 MB of L3 cache, while Geekbench 6 scores come in at 782 for single-core and 2012 for multi-core performance.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro features a triple rear camera system with sensors at 64 MP, 25 MP, and 2 MP, using a CMOS sensor and phase-detection autofocus for stills, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording. The main camera supports manual controls including exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, and also offers burst mode, HDR, timelapse, panorama, touch autofocus, and slow-motion video recording. Video can be captured at up to 1440 x 30 fps, though there is no optical image stabilization, no optical zoom, no manual shutter speed control, and no RAW output; HDR10 and Dolby Vision recording are likewise absent. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash. On the front, a 16 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.3 aperture handles selfies, though it lacks its own flash and is not positioned under the display. Neither 3D photo or video recording nor 360-degree panorama shooting is supported.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. On the customization side, users have access to theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, widgets, and customizable notifications, while focus modes and app offloading are not supported. The OS also accommodates practical productivity features such as split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, Live Text, and the ability to play games while they download. Privacy and utility tools extend further with app tracking blocking, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, device tracking, a child lock, multi-user support, and a battery health check. Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are absent, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor, nor can it function as a PC.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro is equipped with a 6050 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, allowing for reasonably quick top-ups via cable. A battery level indicator is included, keeping users informed of remaining charge at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported, and the battery is non-removable.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio output and a built-in radio for broadcast listening. The device does not feature stereo speakers, and none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro offers a well-rounded connectivity setup, with 5G cellular support, Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), and Bluetooth 5.2, alongside NFC and a maximum download speed of 3300 MBits/s. It accommodates two SIM cards and includes an external memory slot for expandable storage. The USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. For navigation and sensing, the device features GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and an infrared sensor, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, motion tracking, and optical tracking are all absent. Biometric security is handled by a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present, and no stylus is included. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, DLNA certification, and a built-in projector are likewise not part of the feature set.

The Ulefone Armor X31 Pro includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
