The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra has a conventional, non-folding form factor with no rugged build certification and no water resistance. It measures 168.8 mm tall, 76.8 mm wide, and 8.9 mm thick, resulting in a total volume of approximately 115.38 cm³. The device weighs 211.6 g, placing it on the heavier side for a standard smartphone chassis.

The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra features a 6.78″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a pixel density of 396 ppi, offering a reasonably detailed visual experience. The panel runs at a 90Hz refresh rate and is protected by branded damage-resistant glass, adding a layer of durability to everyday use. The display does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen.

The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 720 chipset, fabricated on a 7 nm process, with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 6 x 2 GHz and 2 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE technology across 8 threads. It comes with 6 GB of LPDDR4 RAM operating at 2133 MHz, a maximum supported memory amount of 12 GB, and a peak memory bandwidth of 17.07 GB/s, while ECC memory is not supported. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 MP3 GPU, and the chipset also integrates LTE connectivity. The phone includes 256 GB of internal storage, supports 64-bit processing, and features ARM TrustZone for hardware-level security.

The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra sports a dual 50 MP rear camera system, both lenses opening at f/2.2, using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination and no optical image stabilization or optical zoom. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with support for slow-motion recording but no HDR10 or Dolby Vision capture. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for stills as well as continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while manual shutter speed and RAW shooting are not available. The rear camera also supports HDR mode, burst shooting, panorama, timelapse, and is accompanied by a single LED flash with no dual-tone or RGB configuration. On the front, a 32 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.5 aperture handles selfies, positioned traditionally rather than under the display, and has no dedicated flash.

The device runs Android 13 and includes a solid range of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location access management, and camera and microphone permissions, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are absent. On the customization side, it supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and app offloading are not available. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, sharing intents, Live Text, widgets, and the ability to play games while they download. The OS also supports offline voice recognition and voice commands, on-device machine learning, multi-user accounts, a child lock, and device position tracking. Wi-Fi password sharing, a battery health check, direct OS vendor updates, and Quick Start are not supported.

The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra is equipped with a 5450 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for convenient monitoring, though the battery is non-removable and wireless charging is not supported.

The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack, making it compatible with wired audio accessories without an adapter. However, the device lacks stereo speakers, outputting audio through a single speaker instead. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec standards are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra supports 5G connectivity along with dual SIM capability, Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, and Bluetooth 5.2, covering a broad range of wireless standards for everyday use. Wired connectivity is handled via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and there is no HDMI output. The device offers NFC, GPS with Galileo support, and theoretical download and upload speeds of 2770 Mbits/s and 211 Mbits/s respectively. An external memory slot is available for storage expansion, and a fingerprint scanner provides biometric security, though 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent. Sensor coverage includes a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and infrared sensor, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, motion tracking, and optical tracking are not included. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, DLNA certification, a stylus, and a built-in projector are likewise not part of the feature set.

The Ulefone Note 18 Ultra includes a video light, which can be used to illuminate subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no sapphire glass, and there is no e-paper screen present.
