Ulefone Note 21

The Ulefone Note 21 has a standard, non-folding form factor measuring 163.2 mm tall, 75.16 mm wide, and 9.2 mm thick, with a total weight of 196.1 g. It does not feature a rugged build and carries no water resistance rating, meaning it offers no certified protection against moisture or physical extremes.

The Ulefone Note 21 uses an IPS LCD touchscreen measuring 6.56″ with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px at 269 ppi, paired with a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen present on this device.

The Ulefone Note 21 is driven by the Unisoc T606 chipset, built on a 12nm process with an 8-thread CPU running at 1.6 GHz across all cores using big.LITTLE and HMP architecture, paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM at 1600 MHz and 128GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage expandable up to 1TB. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 MP1 GPU clocked at 650 MHz, featuring 64 shading units, one execution unit, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0, and DirectX 12 support, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 12.8 GB/s. The SoC supports 64-bit processing, integrates LTE, and includes ARM TrustZone for hardware-level security. Cache configuration consists of 128 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 1 MB L3, while the TDP is rated at 10W. Benchmark results place the chipset at 251,000 on AnTuTu, 1,391 multi-core and 371 single-core on Geekbench 6, and a PassMark score of 2,663, with the maximum supported memory amount reaching 14GB.

The Ulefone Note 21 features a single-lens 13MP rear camera with a CMOS sensor, capable of recording video at 1080p 30fps, along with slow-motion recording and timelapse. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus as well as continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is not present, and there is no optical image stabilization. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while HDR mode, burst shooting, and in-camera panorama are also supported; however, manual shutter speed, RAW capture, 360-degree panorama, HDR10 recording, and Dolby Vision recording are not available. A single LED flash accompanies the rear camera — without dual-tone or RGB configurations — and the 8MP front camera is a single-lens unit positioned conventionally on the front of the device, with no front-facing flash and no under-display placement.

The Ulefone Note 21 runs Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, voice commands with offline voice recognition, on-device machine learning, and device tracking. On the privacy side, it offers clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not included. The software experience is fairly feature-rich, covering dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, picture-in-picture, sharing intents, widgets, a child lock, battery health check, and an extra dim display mode. Games can be played while downloading, and Live Text functionality is present; however, focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC are not supported. OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor.

The Ulefone Note 21 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports fast charging at 10W, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it easy to monitor remaining charge at a glance. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Ulefone Note 21 includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, making it compatible with wired audio accessories. It does not feature stereo speakers, so audio output is handled by a single speaker. On the wireless audio side, none of the high-quality Bluetooth codec standards are supported — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent. There is also no built-in radio tuner.

The Ulefone Note 21 supports dual SIM cards and connects via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), with download speeds up to 300 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 100 Mbits/s, though 5G is not available. Bluetooth 5.0 is on board, and a USB Type-C port handles wired connectivity, while HDMI output is absent. Location is covered by GPS with Galileo support, and the sensor set includes an accelerometer and compass, though the device lacks a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and motion or optical tracking. Security relies on a fingerprint scanner, with no 3D facial recognition or iris scanner present. NFC, ANT+, DLNA certification, satellite SOS, and crash detection are not supported, and no stylus or built-in projector is included. An external memory slot is available for storage expansion.

The Ulefone Note 21 includes a video light, allowing it to illuminate subjects during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
