Ulefone RugKing 4 Pro

The Ulefone RugKing 4 Pro has a substantial physical presence, measuring 178.6 mm tall, 84 mm wide, and 19.2 mm thick, with a total volume of 288.04608 cm³ and a weight of 405 g. Its most notable design feature is IP68-certified waterproofing, allowing it to withstand submersion at depths of up to 2 meters. The device does not have a rugged-certified build designation, nor does it support a folding form factor.

The display is a 6.56″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 px at 269 ppi, running at a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass 3, offering a layer of resistance against everyday scratches and minor impacts. It does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or an Always-On Display mode, and there is no secondary screen present.

The device is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, built on a 12 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 2 x 1.8 GHz and 6 x 1.6 GHz across 8 threads, using big.LITTLE technology and a TDP of 10W. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 1866 MHz — expandable up to a maximum of 12GB — alongside 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with support for external memory cards up to 2048GB. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 GPU at 850 MHz, featuring 2 execution units and 64 shading units, with support for OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, complemented by 1 MB of L3 cache. The chipset includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics, TrustZone security, 64-bit support, and multithreading. Geekbench 6 scores come in at 437 single-core and 1461 multi-core, while Geekbench 5 results are 357 single-core and 1350 multi-core.

The rear camera system is a dual-lens setup at 48 MP and 2 MP, capable of recording video at 1080p and 30 fps with continuous autofocus during recording, slow-motion video, and phase-detection autofocus for stills. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while additional shooting modes cover HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse. A single LED flash is present, though it is neither dual-tone nor RGB. Optical image stabilization is not available, there is no laser autofocus, and the camera does not shoot in RAW format or support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording. The front camera offers 8 MP at an f/2 aperture with touch autofocus, but lacks a front-facing flash, a secondary lens, and is not positioned under the display. Neither 360-degree panorama nor 3D photo or video capture is supported.

The device runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls covering clipboard warnings, location access management, and camera/microphone permissions, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are absent. Customization options include theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while productivity is supported through split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, app offloading, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page screenshots, and the ability to play games while they download. On the security and accessibility side, the OS supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, a child lock, multi-user accounts, phone tracking, sharing intents, and a battery health check. Focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, direct OS vendor updates, and Quick Start are not available, and the device cannot function as a PC.

The device is equipped with a 10200 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 18W fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not supported, and the battery is not removable.

The audio setup is fairly minimal — the device includes a built-in radio but lacks a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codec options are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC.

The device supports Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and GPS with Galileo, and accommodates two SIM cards alongside a cellular module. Download speeds reach up to 300 Mbits/s with uploads up to 150 Mbits/s, though 5G is not supported. Wired connectivity is handled via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and an external memory slot is available for storage expansion. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer and compass, while a fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication — 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Features such as a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, HDMI output, ANT+ support, heart rate monitor, DLNA certification, satellite SOS, crash detection, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all absent.

The device includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
