The Umidigi G7 Tab Pro has a footprint of 256.6 x 168.1 mm with a thickness of 7.5 mm and a weight of 513 g, giving it a relatively slim profile for its size. Its total volume comes in at around 323.5 cm³. The tablet does not include a stylus, a detachable keyboard, or backlit keyboard support, and it offers no water resistance rating of any kind.
The Umidigi G7 Tab Pro features an 11″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a pixel density of 206 ppi. The display does not use branded damage-resistant glass, nor does it carry an anti-reflection coating or a sapphire glass panel. On the HDR front, it supports neither HDR10, HDR10+, nor Dolby Vision, and it is a standard LCD rather than an e-paper panel.
The tablet is driven by the Mediatek Helio G99 chipset, a 6 nm SoC with an 8-thread CPU running in a big.LITTLE configuration at up to 2.2 GHz, a TDP of 5W, and a maximum operating temperature of 95°C. It comes with 8GB of RAM clocked at 4266 MHz across two memory channels, delivering up to 17.1 GB/s of memory bandwidth, and a maximum supported memory amount of 12GB. The 256GB of internal storage uses eMMC 5.2, and an external memory slot is available for further expansion. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 GPU running at 950 MHz with a turbo of 2133 MHz, 32 shading units, support for up to two displays, DirectX 11, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. Geekbench 6 scores land at 729 single-core and 1979 multi-core. The chipset supports 64-bit processing, integrated LTE, HMP, TrustZone security, and integrated graphics, and the device ships with Android 13.
The Umidigi G7 Tab Pro has a 13 MP rear camera with a CMOS sensor, a single LED flash, a video light, and a range of manual controls including ISO, focus, exposure, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. It records video at up to 1080p at 30 fps, with continuous autofocus during recording and a built-in HDR photo mode, but it does not support slow-motion recording, HDR10 or Dolby Vision video capture, timelapse, optical zoom, or optical image stabilization. The front-facing 8 MP camera is present but lacks its own flash. Neither panorama, 360° panorama, burst mode, 3D capture, nor a dual-tone or RGB flash are part of the camera feature set, and the rear sensor is not back-illuminated.
On the audio side, the G7 Tab Pro includes stereo speakers, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, and a built-in FM radio. However, it does not support any of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Low Latency, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.
The G7 Tab Pro houses an 8000 mAh rechargeable battery with fast charging support and a battery level indicator. Wireless charging is not available, and the battery is non-removable.
The G7 Tab Pro supports Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5 alongside Bluetooth 5.2, a cellular module with a single SIM slot, LTE download speeds up to 650 MBits/s and upload up to 150 MBits/s, though 5G is not available. It connects via USB Type-C (USB 2.0) and includes GPS with Galileo support, an accelerometer, and a compass, while a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, NFC, HDMI output, and Ethernet are all absent. On the software and privacy side, the tablet offers location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, clipboard warnings, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, and direct OS vendor updates are not present. Biometric security is limited — there is no fingerprint scanner, iris scanner, or 3D facial recognition. Feature-wise, it supports split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, a media picker, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications, offline voice recognition, voice commands, sharing intents, Live Text, child lock, multi-user support, on-device machine learning, and the ability to play games while downloading. Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, focus modes, app offloading, battery health check, and a built-in projector are not part of the feature set.
The Umidigi G7 Tab Pro uses DDR4 memory.
