Umidigi Note 100 4G

The Umidigi Note 100 4G has a relatively slim build, measuring 167.8 mm tall, 77.4 mm wide, and just 7.7 mm thick, with a weight of 190 g. It holds an IP53 ingress protection rating, meaning it can resist light splashes and dust to a degree, though it is not built for rugged use and cannot be folded. Its total volume comes in at approximately 100 cm³, keeping it within the typical footprint of a large-screen 4G smartphone.

The Umidigi Note 100 4G features a 6.8″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1600 px and a pixel density of 258 ppi. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother on-screen motion. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, an Always-On Display mode, or a secondary screen, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision.

The Umidigi Note 100 4G is powered by the Unisoc T615 chipset, built on a 12 nm process with an octa-core CPU configuration running two cores at 1.8 GHz and six at 1.6 GHz, supported by 8 threads and big.LITTLE technology. It comes with 8GB of DDR4 RAM at 1866 MHz and 256GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 12GB. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 GPU clocked at 850 MHz, featuring 2 execution units and 64 shading units, with support for OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The chipset carries a TDP of 10W, integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing and multithreading, and includes TrustZone for hardware-level security. Benchmark results place it at an AnTuTu score of 308,681, a Geekbench 6 multi-core score of 1,461 with a single-core score of 437, and Geekbench 5 results of 1,350 multi-core and 357 single-core. The Umidigi Note 100 4G has a triple-lens rear camera system led by a 50 MP primary CMOS sensor, accompanied by two 2 MP auxiliary lenses, and a single 16 MP front camera. The main camera supports phase-detection autofocus for photos, continuous autofocus during video, and touch autofocus, though it lacks laser autofocus and optical image stabilization. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps, with no support for HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, while slow-motion video is available. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. Additional shooting modes cover HDR, burst, panorama, and timelapse, but 360-degree panorama, RAW capture, and 3D recording are not supported. A single LED flash is present on the rear, while the front camera has no flash, and neither a dual-tone nor RGB flash configuration is used.

The Umidigi Note 100 4G runs Android 14 and includes a solid set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, a child lock, and an extra dim mode. On-device machine learning is supported, as are offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device position tracking. The system also accommodates multiple user accounts, battery health checks, and the ability to play games while they download. Features not included are Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC. OS updates do not come directly from the vendor, and the platform is noted as free and open source.

The Umidigi Note 100 4G is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 20W fast wired charging, and a charger is included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Umidigi Note 100 4G includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a built-in FM radio, offering a couple of conventional audio conveniences. It does not feature stereo speakers, and none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

The Umidigi Note 100 4G supports dual SIM cards with a cellular module, though it is limited to 4G LTE with no 5G capability, offering download speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) alongside Bluetooth 5.0, while NFC is absent. The device uses a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0 and includes an external memory slot for storage expansion. For location and navigation, GPS, Galileo, and a compass are all present, and an accelerometer is also on board, while a gyroscope, barometer, and infrared sensor are not included. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, with no 3D facial recognition or iris scanner available. Features such as HDMI output, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, a built-in projector, a stylus, DLNA certification, satellite SOS, crash detection, and motion or optical tracking are all absent.

The Umidigi Note 100 4G includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
