Umidigi Note 100A

The Umidigi Note 100A has a straightforward, non-folding design with dimensions of 167.8 x 77.4 mm and a slim 7.7 mm thickness, weighing 190 g. It carries an IP53 rating, meaning it offers a basic degree of protection against water splashes and dust, though it does not feature a rugged build. The overall volume comes in at approximately 100 cm³, making it a sizeable but relatively slender handset for its class.

The Umidigi Note 100A features a 6.8-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a 720 x 1600 px resolution and a pixel density of 258 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother on-screen motion. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it lacks support for HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and Always-On Display functionality. There is no secondary screen present on the device.

The Umidigi Note 100A is driven by the Unisoc T615 chipset, built on a 12 nm process with an octa-core CPU running at 2 x 1.8 GHz and 6 x 1.6 GHz across 8 threads using big.LITTLE technology, and a TDP of 10W. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 GPU clocked at 850 MHz with 2 execution units and 64 shading units, supporting OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The device ships with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM at 1866 MHz and 256 GB of eMMC 5.1 storage, with the platform supporting up to 12 GB of memory in total. It achieves an AnTuTu score of 308,681, a Geekbench 6 multi-core result of 1,461 and single-core of 437, and Geekbench 5 scores of 1,350 multi-core and 357 single-core. The SoC integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, multithreading, and ARM TrustZone security, and includes 1 MB of L3 cache.

The Umidigi Note 100A features a triple-lens rear camera system consisting of a 13 MP main sensor alongside two 2 MP lenses, all using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera records video at 1080p 30 fps but does not support slow-motion recording, HDR10, or Dolby Vision capture, and there is no optical zoom or optical image stabilization. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, and in-camera panorama are also available; raw shooting and manual shutter speed control are not supported. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash option. The 8 MP front camera is a single-lens unit positioned conventionally on the front of the device — not under the display — and it has no dedicated flash.

The Umidigi Note 100A runs Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user operation, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Privacy features are well represented, including clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Customization options include dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, and customizable notifications, while on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and Live Text are all supported. Additional conveniences such as full-page screenshots, a media picker, a child lock, sharing intents, battery health check, an extra dim mode, and device position tracking round out the feature set. OS updates do not come directly from the platform vendor, and the device does not support Quick Start, focus modes, or app offloading.

The Umidigi Note 100A is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 20W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it easy to monitor remaining charge at a glance. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Umidigi Note 100A includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio and a built-in radio, though it is limited to a single speaker with no stereo output. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codecs are supported — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are all absent.

The Umidigi Note 100A supports dual-SIM 4G LTE cellular connectivity with download speeds of up to 300 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 150 Mbit/s, though 5G is not available. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) alongside Bluetooth 5.0, while NFC is absent. The device connects via a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0 and includes an external memory card slot for storage expansion. Location support includes GPS and Galileo, and on-board sensors include an accelerometer, with no gyroscope, compass, or barometer present. Biometric security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included. The device does not feature HDMI output, an infrared sensor, ANT+ support, a heart rate monitor, a built-in projector, motion or optical tracking, DLNA certification, crash detection, satellite SOS, or a stylus.

The Umidigi Note 100A includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
