The Varmilo Muse65 HE is a gaming mechanical keyboard built in a compact 65% layout with a standard profile and tray mount construction. It connects via USB with a wired interface and supports a polling rate of 8000 Hz, while the detachable cable makes it straightforward to replace or swap out as needed. The keyboard is not designed for Mac. Physically, it measures 310 mm wide, 112 mm tall, and 19 mm thick, with a weight of 1200 g, and it comes backed by a one-year warranty.
The Muse65 HE features a plastic case paired with an aluminum plate, and is available in four colorways: black, pink, blue, and white. It has a backlit layout with RGB lighting directed north-facing, which influences how light interacts with the keycaps. The keyboard includes adjustable feet for typing angle customization and ships with a wrist rest included in the box.
The Muse65 HE is equipped with Gateron Magnetic Jade Pro Hall effect switches, which deliver a linear feel with an actuation force of 35 g and a total travel distance of 3.5 mm. The actuation point is adjustable anywhere between 0.1 mm and 4 mm, giving users precise control over when each keypress registers. The switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering.
The Muse65 HE supports rapid trigger, dual actuation, and adjustable actuation, giving users meaningful control over how keypresses are detected and reset. It also includes full NKRO, ensuring every simultaneous keypress is registered without conflict. On the other hand, it does not offer analog input, USB passthrough, or a built-in display, and there is no support for QMK, ZMK, or VIA firmware customization.
The Muse65 HE uses an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement and PBT keycaps in a Cherry profile. Media functions are accessible via the Fn key rather than through dedicated keys, and the keyboard does not include a rotary dial.
