The earbuds feature stereo speakers for two-channel audio output, while extras such as wingtips, RGB lighting, a UV light, and a display are not part of the design.
The Viaim RecDot are equipped with an 11 mm driver unit backed by a neodymium magnet, covering a frequency range of 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz. They support both active noise cancellation (ANC) and passive noise reduction, giving users two layers of sound isolation. Spatial audio, Dolby Atmos, and Dirac Virtuo are not supported on this model.
The Viaim RecDot house a 63 mAh rechargeable battery per earbud, delivering up to 9 hours of playback on a single charge, while the 550 mAh charging case extends the total to 27 hours of combined battery life. A full charge takes 1.5 hours, and the case supports wireless charging alongside wired charging, offering flexibility depending on what is available. A battery level indicator is built in to help users keep track of remaining power, and there is no solar charging on this model.
