The Vivo S20 Pro features a 6.67″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1260 x 2800 pixels and a pixel density of 460 ppi, producing detailed and sharp visuals. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion, though it does not include an Always-On Display mode, branded damage-resistant glass, a secondary screen, or support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision.

The Vivo S20 Pro is powered by the Mediatek Dimensity 9300 Plus chipset, built on a 4nm process with 22,700 million transistors and an octa-core CPU configuration running at 1 x 3.4, 3 x 2.85, and 4 x 2 GHz across 8 threads using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies, though it does not use multithreading. The SoC includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics via the Arm Immortalis-G720 MC12 GPU clocked at 1300 MHz, and supports DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The device comes with 16GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz across 2 memory channels with a maximum supported memory amount of 24GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 76.8 GB/s, backed by 8MB of L2 cache and 18MB of L3 cache. Internal storage stands at 512GB, and Geekbench 6 scores are recorded at 2302 for single-core and 7547 for multi-core workloads.

The Vivo S20 Pro features a triple rear camera system, each lens resolving at 50MP with apertures of f/1.9, f/2.6, and f/2.1 respectively, alongside a CMOS sensor, optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, and phase-detection autofocus for stills as well as continuous autofocus during video recording. Privacy features include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and app tracking prevention, though cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. Customization options span dark mode, dynamic theming, and theme customization, while practical tools such as a media picker, full-page screenshots, Live Text, customizable notifications, notification permissions, battery health check, extra dim mode, child lock, and app offloading round out the software experience. The device also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and phone position tracking, but does not offer focus modes, Quick Start, or the ability to function as a PC, and it does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Vivo S20 Pro houses a 5500 mAh rechargeable battery with a battery level indicator and support for 90W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. The battery is non-removable and does not support wireless charging.

The Vivo S20 Pro is equipped with stereo speakers and supports aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive Bluetooth audio codecs, though it does not include LDAC or aptX Lossless. The device has no 3.5mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Vivo S20 Pro supports 5G connectivity and comes with a dual SIM slot, Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 7, and Bluetooth 5.4, while cellular download speeds reach up to 10,000 Mbit/s and upload speeds up to 7,000 Mbit/s. Crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, motion tracking, and optical tracking are also absent from the feature set.

The Vivo S20 Pro includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
