Vivo V70 Elite

The Vivo V70 Elite has a non-folding, non-rugged build measuring 157.5 mm tall, 74.3 mm wide, and just 7.4 mm thick, with a total volume of 86.60 cm³ and a weight of 187 g. It carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is fully waterproof and rated to withstand submersion at depths of up to 1.5 m.

The Vivo V70 Elite features a 6.59″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1260 x 2750 px and a pixel density of 459 ppi, backed by a 120 Hz refresh rate and a typical brightness of 1800 nits. The display supports both HDR10 and HDR10+, includes an Always-On Display mode, and is protected by branded damage-resistant glass. Dolby Vision is not supported, and there is no secondary screen.

The Vivo V70 Elite is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with a TDP of 12.5W and a multi-core CPU configuration running at 1 x 3, 4 x 2.8, and 3 x 2 GHz using big.LITTLE technology with multithreading and 64-bit support. It comes with 12 GB of DDR5 RAM at 4800 MHz and 512 GB of internal storage (eMMC 5.1), with a maximum supported memory amount of 24 GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 64 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 735 GPU, which runs at 1100 MHz, features 3 execution units, supports a single display, and is compatible with DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.3, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenVG 1.2, and OpenCL 2. The SoC also integrates LTE, TrustZone security, 1 MB of L2 cache, and 8 MB of L3 cache, with Geekbench 6 scores of 2019 (single-core) and 5570 (multi-core).

The Vivo V70 Elite carries a triple rear camera system with sensors at 50 MP, 50 MP, and 8 MP, paired with apertures of f/1.9, f/2.7, and f/2.2 respectively, a focal length range of 15 mm to 85 mm, and 3.7x optical zoom, all backed by optical image stabilization and a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for photos as well as continuous autofocus during video, though laser autofocus is absent, and a single LED flash is present without dual-tone or RGB configurations. Video recording reaches up to 2160p at 60 fps with slow-motion support, while HDR mode, burst shooting, timelapse, panorama, manual exposure, manual ISO, manual focus, and manual white balance are all available, though manual shutter speed, HDR10 recording, and Dolby Vision recording are not supported. The 50 MP front camera sits at f/2.2 in a standard single-lens setup without an under-display placement or a front-facing flash, and the rear system does not offer 360-degree panorama or 3D photo and video capture.

The Vivo V70 Elite runs Android 16, an open-source platform that supports multi-user access, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device tracking. Privacy controls cover clipboard warnings, location options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection, cross-site tracking blocking, and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent. On the usability side, the OS includes dark mode, extra dim mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications with notification permissions, a media picker, Live Text, full-page screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, app offloading, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they download. Battery health check is built in, while focus modes, Quick Start, and PC mode are not available, and OS updates do not come directly from the platform vendor.

The Vivo V70 Elite is equipped with a 6500 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 90W wired fast charging and includes a battery level indicator. Wireless charging and reverse wireless charging are not available.

The Vivo V70 Elite includes stereo speakers but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a built-in radio. On the wireless audio side, none of the advanced Bluetooth codecs are supported, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC.

The Vivo V70 Elite supports 5G connectivity along with Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6, and accommodates two SIM cards with download speeds of up to 10000 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 3500 Mbit/s. Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are both present, while the USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0, and there is no external memory slot or HDMI output. For positioning, the device includes GPS with Galileo support alongside a compass and accelerometer, but lacks a gyroscope, barometer, and both motion and optical tracking. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, with 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner both absent, and an infrared sensor is built in. Features such as satellite SOS, crash detection, DLNA certification, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, a stylus, and a built-in projector are not included.

The Vivo V70 Elite includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor e-paper technology.
