Vivo Y18t

The Vivo Y18t has a non-folding, non-rugged design that measures 163.6 mm tall, 75.6 mm wide, and 8.4 mm thick, resulting in a total volume of approximately 103.89 cm³. It weighs 185 g, keeping it reasonably light for everyday handling. On the durability side, the device carries an IP54 rating, meaning it offers a degree of protection against dust ingress and water splashes, though it is not built to rugged standards.

The Vivo Y18t features a 6.56″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels and a pixel density of 269 ppi. The panel runs at a 90Hz refresh rate, which contributes to smoother on-screen motion during everyday use. It does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and there is no support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, nor does it offer an Always-On Display mode or a secondary screen.

The Vivo Y18t is powered by the Unisoc T612 system-on-chip, built on a 12 nm process and featuring an octa-core CPU with 8 threads running at 1.8 GHz across all cores, organized using big.LITTLE technology. It comes with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM clocked at 1866 MHz and 128 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with the platform supporting a maximum memory configuration of up to 8 GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 12.8 GB/s. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G57 MP1 GPU, which includes 2 execution units, 32 shading units, and a turbo clock of 614.4 MHz, with support for DirectX 11 and OpenCL 2.0. The chip also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, and includes ARM TrustZone for hardware-level security. Cache configuration consists of 128 KB L1, 2 MB L2, and 1 MB L3, while the device recorded a PCMark Work 3.0 benchmark score of 7130.

The Vivo Y18t features a dual-lens rear camera system led by a 50 MP primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, paired with a 0.08 MP secondary lens at f/3, both using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus is handled via phase-detection and touch autofocus, with continuous autofocus available during video recording, though laser autofocus is absent. The main camera supports manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, along with HDR mode, burst shooting, panorama, timelapse, and slow-motion video, while video recording tops out at 1080p at 30 fps with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support. A single LED flash is present at the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash. There is no optical zoom and no optical image stabilization. On the front, an 8 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.0 aperture handles selfies, positioned above the display rather than underneath it, and it does not have a dedicated flash.

The Vivo Y18t runs on Android 14, an open-source platform that supports multi-user accounts, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture mode, widgets, and sharing intents. Privacy-oriented features include clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. Personalization options cover dark mode, dynamic theming, and theme customization, while usability is further extended through customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page screenshots, Live Text, an extra dim mode, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and a child lock. The device also supports on-device machine learning, battery health checks, phone tracking, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Features not present include Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, direct OS vendor updates, and the ability to function as a PC.

The Vivo Y18t is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 15W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present to keep track of remaining charge. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Vivo Y18t includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack for wired audio and a built-in radio. It does not feature stereo speakers, and there is no support for any advanced Bluetooth audio codecs, including aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC.

The Vivo Y18t supports dual SIM cards and connects wirelessly via Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) and Bluetooth 5.2, though 5G is not available. Wired connectivity is handled through a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and an external memory slot allows for storage expansion. Cellular download speeds reach up to 300 Mbits/s, with upload speeds of up to 100 Mbits/s. For navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, while a gyroscope, barometer, and motion or optical tracking are absent. NFC, HDMI output, infrared sensor, DLNA certification, and ANT+ are not supported, and there is no fingerprint scanner, iris scanner, or 3D facial recognition for biometric authentication. Features such as satellite emergency SOS, crash detection, a heart rate monitor, a built-in projector, and a stylus are also not included.

The Vivo Y18t includes a video light for illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, and it uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
