Vivo Y37

The Vivo Y37 follows a standard flat, non-folding form factor, measuring 163.6 x 75.6 x 8.4 mm with a volume of 103.89 cm³ and a weight of 185 g. It carries an IP54 rating, offering resistance to dust and water splashes, though it does not feature a rugged build.

The Vivo Y37 features a 6.56-inch IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720x1612 pixels and a pixel density of 269 ppi, running at a 90Hz refresh rate for smoother everyday scrolling. The panel does not support HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision, and there is no Always-On Display mode or secondary screen. Branded damage-resistant glass is also absent.

The Vivo Y37 is driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, manufactured on a 6nm process with an octa-core CPU layout — two performance cores at 2.4 GHz and six efficiency cores at 2 GHz — using big.LITTLE and HMP technologies across 8 threads. The system comes with 12GB of DDR4 RAM at 2133 MHz, which is also the maximum supported amount, and 256GB of internal storage. Memory bandwidth reaches 17.07 GB/s, and the cache hierarchy consists of 512 KB L1, 1 MB L2, and 2 MB L3. Graphics are handled by the integrated Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU running at 950 MHz, supporting DirectX 12. In Geekbench 6, the chipset scores 782 single-core and 2012 multi-core, with LTE integrated directly into the SoC and full 64-bit support throughout.

The main camera is a single-lens 13MP CMOS sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and a pixel size of 1.12 µm, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, continuous autofocus during video, HDR mode, slow-motion recording, burst mode, in-camera panoramas, and manual controls for ISO, exposure, white balance, and focus. Video recording tops out at 1080p at 30fps, with no HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording support, no optical zoom, no optical image stabilization, no laser autofocus, and no RAW capture. A single LED flash is present, but there is no dual-tone or RGB flash. The front camera is a single-lens 5MP unit with an f/2.2 aperture, no flash, and is not positioned under the display.

The Vivo Y37 runs Android 14 and includes a solid set of privacy features: location access controls, camera and microphone permission management, clipboard warnings, and app tracking blocking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. On the usability front, it supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, extra dim mode, battery health check, customizable notifications, a media picker, full-page screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, sharing intents, widgets, child lock, and multi-user functionality. Offline voice recognition and voice commands are both supported, as is on-device machine learning and phone position tracking. Features not present include Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Vivo Y37 houses a 5000 mAh non-removable rechargeable battery with a battery level indicator and support for 15W fast charging. Wireless charging is not supported.

The Vivo Y37 includes a 3.5mm headset jack and a built-in radio, though it outputs audio through a single speaker rather than a stereo pair. Bluetooth audio codec support covers aptX and aptX HD, while aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available.

The Vivo Y37 supports 5G and accommodates two SIM cards, with cellular download speeds reaching up to 3300 MBits/s. Wi-Fi covers both Wi-Fi 4 and Wi-Fi 5 standards, and Bluetooth 5.4 is included alongside NFC. The USB port is Type-C but operates at USB 2.0 speeds, and there is no external memory slot or HDMI output. For location, the device provides GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, though a gyroscope and barometer are absent. A fingerprint scanner handles biometric authentication; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Features such as ANT+, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, crash detection, satellite SOS, DLNA, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are all unavailable.

The Vivo Y37 includes a video light to assist with recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and the device uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
