The Wacom Cintiq 16 (2025) is a pen display compatible with both Windows and Mac, featuring an active drawing area of 344 x 215 mm². It weighs 2000 g and measures 384 mm wide, 259 mm tall, and just 15 mm thick, giving it a volume of 1491.84 cm³. The tablet is strictly wired — it does not support wireless use — and lacks fold-out legs, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a travel bag. On the plus side, it ships with both a stylus and a pen stand, and the cable is detachable for easier cable management.
The display measures 16″ and renders at 2560 x 1600 px, resulting in a pixel density of 188 ppi. Typical brightness is rated at 290 nits, and the contrast ratio stands at 1400:1, with an 8-bit color depth. Response time is 12 ms, and both horizontal and vertical viewing angles reach 178°, making the image consistently visible from wide angles. The panel also carries an anti-reflection coating, which helps reduce glare during use.
The included pen offers 8192 levels of pressure sensitivity and a resolution of 5080 LPI, with a report rate of 240 RPS for fluid, responsive input. It supports tilt sensitivity up to 60°, allowing for natural angle-based strokes. The pen body carries three buttons and weighs just 9.1 g, keeping it light during extended drawing sessions.
Connectivity is straightforward, with one HDMI port and one USB 3.2 Gen 1 USB-C port being the only available connections. There are no DisplayPort or mini DisplayPort outputs, no USB-A ports of any generation, no USB 2.0 ports, and no built-in Bluetooth, keeping the overall connectivity setup minimal.
