Despite its slim profile, the device carries an IP68 rating, meaning it is fully protected against dust and capable of withstanding submersion in water.

The Xiaomi 14T features a 6.67″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1220 x 2712 px and a pixel density of 446 ppi, producing a sharp and detailed image. The panel runs at a 144Hz refresh rate with a 480Hz touch sampling rate, and delivers a typical brightness of 1600 nits alongside a 5000000:1 contrast ratio. It supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and includes an Always-On Display mode. The screen is covered by Gorilla Glass 5 for everyday scratch and impact resistance, though there is no secondary screen. Wide color and dynamic range content is handled natively, rounding out a well-specified display package.

The Xiaomi 14T is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 Ultra, a 4 nm octa-core chipset configured with one core at 3.35 GHz, three at 3.2 GHz, and four efficiency cores at 2.2 GHz, running across 8 threads with a TDP of 6W. It uses big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing, supports 64-bit computing, and includes hardware security features such as NX bit and TrustZone. Graphics are handled by the integrated Mali G615 MC6 GPU clocked at 1400 MHz, with support for DirectX 12, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2. The device comes with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 8533 MHz across 4 memory channels, offering a maximum bandwidth of 68.2 GB/s, while the chipset supports up to 12 GB of RAM and includes a 4 MB L3 cache. Internal storage stands at 512 GB, and integrated LTE is built into the SoC. In benchmarks, the device scores 1,253,994 on AnTuTu, 4410 and 1402 on Geekbench 6 multi- and single-core tests respectively, and 10,791 on 3DMark Wild Life with 7,410 on the Unlimited variant.

The Xiaomi 14T features a triple rear camera system with sensors at 50 MP (f/1.7), 50 MP (f/1.9), and 12 MP (f/2.2), all backed by BSI CMOS technology and optical image stabilization. The main camera supports 2x optical zoom and records video at up to 4K (2160p) at 60 fps with Dolby Vision, though HDR10 recording is not available. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus during both stills and video capture, with continuous autofocus active during movie recording; laser autofocus is not present. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while RAW shooting, burst mode, HDR, panorama, slow-motion video, and timelapse round out the feature set. The dual-tone LED flash uses two LEDs, but there is no RGB flash and no 3D photo or video capability. The Xiaomi 14T runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera and microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. Users can block app tracking, and the system supports on-device machine learning for local processing tasks. Customization options are extensive, with theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, an extra dim mode, home screen widgets, and customizable notifications all on board. Productivity features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. The OS also supports multi-user accounts, a child lock, offline voice recognition, voice commands, and device position tracking. Battery health monitoring is included as well. On the other hand, the device does not support Wi-Fi password sharing, focus modes, app offloading, Quick Start, or PC mode, and it does not receive OS updates directly from the OS vendor.

The Xiaomi 14T houses a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that is sealed and non-removable. It supports 67W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box, though wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator keeps users informed of remaining charge, and an ultra power-saving mode is on hand to extend runtime when needed by limiting the display to a basic interface.

The Xiaomi 14T includes stereo speakers for built-in audio output but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and has no FM radio. For wireless audio, it supports LDAC, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive, covering high-resolution and adaptive bitrate Bluetooth audio, though standard aptX and aptX Lossless are not available.

The Xiaomi 14T supports 5G cellular connectivity and accommodates up to two physical SIM cards alongside two eSIMs, with no external memory slot available. Wi-Fi coverage spans Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, and 6E, and the device reaches download speeds of up to 5170 Mbit/s. Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are both present, while the USB Type-C port operates at USB 2.0 speed; there is no HDMI output and no DLNA certification. Sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, GPS with Galileo support, an infrared sensor, and a heart rate monitor, though a barometer is absent. The Xiaomi 14T includes a video light for use during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no e-paper technology, and is not covered by sapphire glass.
