Xiaomi 15

The Xiaomi 15 has a non-folding, standard-form design measuring 152.3 × 71.2 mm with a thickness of 8.5 mm and a weight of 192 g, giving it a total volume of roughly 92.17 cm³. It carries an IP68 ingress protection rating, classifying it as waterproof against dust and sustained water immersion. The device does not feature a rugged build, so while its water resistance offers meaningful everyday protection, it is not designed for heavy-duty outdoor conditions.

The Xiaomi 15 uses an OLED/AMOLED touchscreen measuring 6.36″ with a resolution of 1200 × 2670 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi. It runs at a 120 Hz refresh rate with a 300 Hz touch sampling rate, and reaches a typical brightness of 3200 nits alongside a contrast ratio of 5,000,000:1. The display supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and includes an Always-On Display mode. It does not feature branded damage-resistant glass and has no secondary screen.

The Xiaomi 15 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU running at 2 × 4.32 GHz and 6 × 3.53 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support, and a TDP of 8.2W. It comes with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5300 MHz and 1024 GB of internal storage, supporting up to 24 GB of memory across two channels with a maximum bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s, ECC memory support, and cache layers of 192 KB L1, 12 MB L2, and 8 MB L3. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 830 with integrated graphics, 1536 shading units, a clock speed of 1100 MHz, DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3 support, capable of driving up to two displays. Benchmark results include an AnTuTu score of 2,746,100, Geekbench 6 scores of 3,234 single-core and 10,059 multi-core, 3DMark Wild Life at 20,607, Wild Life Extreme at 5,705, Steel Nomad at 2,181, and PCMark Work 3.0 scores of 18,297 for performance and 1,180 minutes for battery. The chipset also integrates LTE, supports 64-bit processing, multithreading, and ARM TrustZone security.

The Xiaomi 15 features a triple rear camera system with three 50 MP CMOS sensors at apertures of f/1.6, f/2, and f/2.2, backed by optical image stabilization and 2.6x optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus, along with continuous autofocus during video recording, while a dual-tone LED flash with two LEDs handles low-light illumination. The main camera supports video recording at up to 4320 × 30 fps with Dolby Vision recording, slow-motion, and timelapse, though HDR10 recording and 3D video are not available. Still photography features include HDR, burst mode, panorama, RAW capture, manual exposure, manual ISO, manual focus, and manual white balance, while manual shutter speed and 360° panorama are not supported. The front camera offers a single 32 MP sensor at f/2 without a front-facing flash, under-display placement, or a secondary lens, and the overall camera system holds a DxOMark Mobile score of 147.

The Xiaomi 15 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, among them clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. The interface supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and Wi-Fi password sharing are absent. Utility features extend to on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text, app offloading, a child lock, multi-user support, phone tracking, battery health check, and the ability to play games while they download. OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor, and the device does not support Quick Start or PC mode. The free and open-source nature of the platform is noted, and sharing intents are supported for passing content between applications.

The Xiaomi 15 houses a 5240 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a battery level indicator included. It supports fast wired charging at 90W, wireless charging at 50W, and reverse wireless charging at 10W, covering a full range of charging methods. A charger is included in the box.

The Xiaomi 15 features stereo speakers and four microphones, but does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack or a built-in radio. For wireless audio, it supports aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and LDAC, offering a wide range of high-quality Bluetooth audio codecs, though aptX Lossless is not available.

The Xiaomi 15 supports 5G connectivity and accepts two physical SIM cards alongside two eSIMs, with cellular download speeds reaching 10,000 Mbits/s and upload speeds of 3,500 Mbits/s. Wi-Fi coverage spans Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, 6E, and 7, and Bluetooth 5.4 is on board alongside NFC, while DLNA certification, ANT+, and HDMI output are absent. The USB Type-C port operates at USB 3.2, and there is no external memory slot. Biometric security is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included, and no stylus comes in the box. Onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, barometer, GPS with Galileo support, and an infrared sensor, whereas a heart rate monitor, motion tracking, optical tracking, satellite SOS, crash detection, and a built-in projector are all absent.

The Xiaomi 15 includes a video light for use during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
