It carries an IP68 Ingress Protection rating, meaning it is fully waterproof under the classification, though it does not feature a rugged build.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro features a 6.73″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels at a pixel density of 522 ppi, backed by a 120Hz refresh rate and a 300Hz touch sampling rate for responsive input. At a typical brightness of 3200 nits, the display supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, covering a broad range of high dynamic range content. It does not include branded damage-resistant glass, an Always-On Display mode, or a secondary screen.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite system-on-chip, built on a 3 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at 2 x 4.32 GHz and 6 x 3.53 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support and a TDP of 8.2W. It is paired with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM at 5300 MHz, a maximum memory capacity of 24 GB, a memory bandwidth of 85.1 GB/s across 2 channels, and 1024 GB of internal storage. The Adreno 830 GPU operates at a clock speed of 1100 MHz with 1536 shading units, supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 3, and can drive up to 2 displays simultaneously. The chipset integrates LTE, TrustZone security, ECC memory support, and uses multithreading throughout. On the benchmark side, the device scores 3,121,239 on AnTuTu, 3,234 single-core and 10,059 multi-core on Geekbench 6, 20,255 on 3DMark Wild Life, 4,998 on 3DMark Wild Life Extreme, 2,239 on 3DMark Steel Nomad, and 17,339 on PCMark Work 3.0, with the PCMark battery test logging 1,393 minutes. The Xiaomi 15 Pro sports a triple rear camera system, each lens resolving at 50 MP, with apertures of f/1.4, f/2.5, and f/2.2 respectively, supported by optical image stabilization and 5x optical zoom. Autofocus options cover phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus, with continuous autofocus available during video recording, while shooting modes extend to burst, panorama, HDR, timelapse, slow-motion video, and RAW capture. Manual controls include exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination and records video at up to 4320p at 30 fps, but does not support HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, nor 3D or 360-degree panorama capture. The Xiaomi 15 Pro runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera/microphone access management, along with the ability to block app tracking; however, cross-site tracking blocking, Mail Privacy Protection, and Wi-Fi password sharing are not available. On the usability side, the OS supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications with notification permissions, a media picker, full-page scrolling screenshots, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, sharing intents, widgets, a child lock, and the ability to offload apps or play games while they are still downloading. It also features on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, Live Text selection in images, multi-user support, and device tracking, though focus modes, Quick Start, and PC mode are absent. OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor, and the platform is free and open source.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro houses a 6100 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery with a visible charge level indicator and a charger included in the box. Wired fast charging tops out at 90W, while wireless charging is supported at up to 50W, and reverse wireless charging allows the device to share power with other devices at 10W.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro includes stereo speakers and a four-microphone array, but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and has no built-in radio. For wireless audio, it supports aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive, though LDAC and aptX Lossless are not available.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside a dual-SIM slot, and its wireless stack covers Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7 (802.11n/ac/ax/be, including Wi-Fi 6E), Bluetooth 5.4, and NFC. Data speeds reach up to 10,000 Mbits/s download and 3,500 Mbits/s upload, while the USB Type-C port runs at USB 3.2; there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. On the security and biometrics front, a fingerprint scanner is present, but 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not. The device also features emergency SOS via satellite and GPS with Galileo support, though crash detection is absent. Onboard sensors include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, barometer, and infrared sensor, while motion tracking, optical tracking, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, a stylus, and a built-in projector are all absent.

The Xiaomi 15 Pro includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
