The device does not feature a rugged build, so its water resistance stems from its IP certification rather than any reinforced construction.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro features a 6.73″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1440 x 3200 px and a pixel density of 521 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image across its single panel — there is no secondary screen. The display refreshes at 120Hz and supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for broad high dynamic range compatibility, while an Always-On Display mode keeps glanceable information visible at all times. It is also covered by branded damage-resistant glass, adding a layer of protection to the screen surface.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro is powered by the Xring O1 chipset, built on a 3 nm process with a 10-thread CPU configuration running at speeds of 4 x 3.4, 2 x 3.9, 2 x 1.89, and 2 x 1.8 GHz using big.LITTLE architecture with HMP support for efficient workload distribution. Graphics are handled by the integrated ARM Immortalis-G925 GPU clocked at 1612 MHz, with support for DirectX 12 and OpenCL 3. The SoC also integrates LTE and includes TrustZone for hardware-level security. Paired with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz, a maximum memory bandwidth of 76.8 GB/s, ECC memory support, and 1024 GB of internal storage, the platform posts an AnTuTu score of 3,004,137 alongside Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core results of 2709 and 8125 respectively. The main camera uses a CMOS sensor — though not back-illuminated — and supports phase-detection, laser, and touch autofocus, with continuous autofocus active during video recording. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while RAW shooting, burst mode, HDR, panorama, slow-motion, and timelapse round out the stills and video feature set; manual shutter speed and 360° panorama are not available. The Xiaomi 15S Pro runs Android 15 as a free and open-source platform, supporting multi-user profiles, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, widgets, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. Privacy tools include clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access controls, and the ability to block app tracking, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. The interface supports dynamic and manual theme customization, dark mode, an extra dim mode, full-page scrolling screenshots, a media picker, customizable notifications with permission controls, Live Text selection in images, and app offloading; focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are not available. On-device machine learning is supported alongside offline voice recognition and voice commands, and the device includes phone tracking and a child lock feature. OS updates do not come directly from the platform vendor, and the phone cannot function as a PC.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro houses a 6100 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable, paired with a battery level indicator for monitoring charge status. Wired fast charging is supported at 90W, while wireless charging runs at 50W, and the device can also act as a wireless charger for other devices at 10W through reverse wireless charging.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro includes stereo speakers for built-in playback but omits a 3.5 mm headphone jack and has no radio. For wireless audio, it supports aptX HD and aptX Adaptive, though standard aptX, aptX Lossless, and LDAC are not available.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro supports 5G cellular connectivity alongside a dual-SIM configuration, and its Wi-Fi stack covers Wi-Fi 4, 5, 6, 6E, and 7 for broad wireless network compatibility. Bluetooth 5.4 and NFC are present, while the USB Type-C port runs at USB 3.2; there is no HDMI output, external memory slot, or DLNA certification. Biometric authentication is handled by a fingerprint scanner — 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not included — and no stylus comes in the box. Sensors on board include a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, barometer, GPS with Galileo support, and an infrared sensor; ANT+, heart rate monitoring, crash detection, satellite SOS, and motion or optical tracking are all absent.

The Xiaomi 15S Pro includes a video light for illumination during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
