The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro has a slim, conventional form factor — it does not fold and lacks a rugged build or any water resistance rating. It measures 157.1 mm tall, 73.2 mm wide, and just 7.5 mm thick, with a total volume of 86.2479 cm³. At 184 g, it sits within a relatively modest weight range for a device of its size.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro features a 6.55″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1236 x 2750 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi, delivering a sharp and detailed image. It runs at a 120Hz refresh rate and supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for broad high dynamic range compatibility. An Always-On Display mode is available, while there is no secondary screen. The panel does not include branded damage-resistant glass.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, built on a 4 nm process with an 8-thread CPU configuration using big.LITTLE technology and clock speeds spanning up to 3.21 GHz across its core clusters. It is paired with 16 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz and 512 GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 24 GB and a peak memory bandwidth of 76.8 GB/s. The Adreno 825 GPU operates at 1150 MHz with 3 execution units, supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.3, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenVG 1.2, and OpenCL 2, and drives a single display. The chipset includes integrated LTE, integrated graphics, ARM TrustZone security, and multithreading support, while the CPU carries a TDP of 12.5W. Cache configuration consists of 6 MB of L2 and 8 MB of L3, and the platform achieves Geekbench 6 scores of 2041 single-core and 6833 multi-core.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro features a multi-lens rear camera system with three sensors at 50 MP, 50 MP, and 12 MP, paired with apertures of f/1.6, f/2, and f/2.2 respectively, covering a focal length range of 15 mm to 60 mm and offering 2.5x optical zoom. The rear cameras use CMOS sensors, optical image stabilization, phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is not included. Two LED flash units are present, though they do not form a dual-tone or RGB configuration, and there is no front-facing flash. Video recording reaches 2160p at 60 fps with HDR10 support, while slow-motion recording and timelapse are also available; Dolby Vision recording and 3D video are not supported. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, but manual shutter speed and RAW capture are absent, and 360-degree panorama is not available though standard in-camera panoramas are. The front camera is a dual-lens setup with a 50 MP sensor and f/2 aperture, positioned on the front surface rather than under the display, with burst mode and HDR rounding out the imaging feature set.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro ships with Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking — though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not present. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, an extra dim mode, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, customizable notifications, and a child lock. It can offload apps, supports multi-user accounts, offers offline voice recognition and voice commands, and includes on-device machine learning and device position tracking. Games can be played while downloading, and a battery health check tool is available. Features not included are focus modes, Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC. OS updates are not delivered directly from the vendor, and while the underlying platform is free and open source, that reflects the nature of Android rather than any additional distribution.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro is equipped with a 6000 mAh rechargeable battery that is non-removable. It supports 67W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. Wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is present, giving users a straightforward way to monitor remaining charge.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro includes stereo speakers and supports aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive for Bluetooth audio transmission, though aptX Lossless and LDAC are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro supports 5G and accommodates two SIM cards, with download speeds of up to 4200 Mbit/s and upload speeds of up to 3500 Mbit/s. Wireless connectivity covers Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7 (802.11n/ac/ax/be) and Bluetooth 5.4, while NFC is also present. The device uses a USB Type-C connector running USB 2.0 and does not include an external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. For positioning, it features GPS with Galileo support, alongside a gyroscope, accelerometer, and compass; a barometer is not included. Biometric authentication is handled by a fingerprint scanner, while 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are absent, and no stylus is included. Safety features such as emergency SOS via satellite and crash detection are not available, and the device lacks an infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, ANT+ support, and any form of motion or optical tracking. A built-in projector is also not present.

The Xiaomi Civi 5 Pro includes a video light for recording in low-light conditions. The display is flat rather than curved, and neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel is used.
