Xiaomi Mix Flip

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is a foldable smartphone with dimensions of 167.5 × 74 × 7.6 mm and a volume of 94.202 cm³, keeping its physical footprint relatively contained for a device of this type. It weighs 190 g and does not feature a rugged build. The device carries no water resistance rating, so it offers no certified protection against moisture or dust exposure.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip features a 6.86″ OLED/AMOLED touchscreen with a resolution of 1224 x 2912 px and a pixel density of 460 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion. The display supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision, and includes an Always-On Display mode. A secondary screen is also present, running at a resolution of 1208 x 1392 px. The main display does not use branded damage-resistant glass.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, built on a 4 nm process and paired with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz, along with 1024 GB of internal storage. The octa-core CPU operates across four clock speed clusters — up to 3.3 GHz on the prime core — uses big.LITTLE architecture with HMP and multithreading, and supports 64-bit processing with TrustZone security. Graphics are handled by the Adreno 750 GPU, clocked at 900 MHz with 3 execution units, supporting DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenVG 1.2, and OpenCL 2, with a maximum memory bandwidth of 76.6 GB/s across 2 memory channels. The chip has a TDP of 12.5W, includes integrated LTE, and the system supports up to 24 GB of total memory. Benchmark results include a Geekbench 6 multi-core score of 7325, a single-core score of 2213, a PCMark Work 3.0 performance score of 14727 with a battery endurance result of 781 minutes, and a 3DMark Steel Nomad score of 1486. Cache configuration consists of 1 MB of L2 and 12 MB of L3, with eMMC 5.1 also noted in the specifications.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip carries a dual-lens rear camera system with two 50 MP sensors at apertures of f/2.0 and f/1.7, a CMOS sensor type, optical image stabilization, and 2x optical zoom. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for photos, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is not present. Video capture reaches up to 4320p at 60 fps with Dolby Vision recording support, while HDR10 recording is not available; slow-motion video and timelapse are both supported. Manual controls extend to exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not included, and the camera does not shoot in RAW format. The rear setup includes a single LED flash — not dual-tone or RGB — and supports burst mode and in-camera panoramas, but not 360° panorama capture or 3D photo and video. On the front, there is a 32 MP single-lens camera with an f/2.0 aperture; it does not have a front-facing flash, an under-display placement, or a secondary front lens.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip runs Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not available. On the customization side, the OS supports theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and app offloading are not present. Usability features include customizable notifications, a media picker, notification permissions, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, a child lock, and the ability to play games while they are still downloading. The system also supports on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, and multi-user functionality. Wi-Fi password sharing and Quick Start are not supported, and the device does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor nor can it be used as a PC.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip is equipped with a 4780 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 67W fast charging, and includes a battery level indicator for monitoring charge status. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip includes stereo speakers and supports aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive for Bluetooth audio, though LDAC and aptX Lossless are not available. There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack and no built-in radio.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip supports 5G connectivity and accommodates two SIM cards, with wireless options spanning Wi-Fi 4 through Wi-Fi 7 (802.11n/ac/ax/be) and Bluetooth 5.4. It uses a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0 and includes NFC, while there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. Download speeds reach up to 10,000 Mbit/s and upload speeds up to 3,500 Mbit/s. For navigation and sensing, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and barometer, though it lacks an infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, and does not support ANT+, motion tracking, or optical tracking. Security is handled by a fingerprint scanner; 3D facial recognition and an iris scanner are not present. Emergency SOS via satellite, crash detection, a built-in projector, and a stylus are also not included.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip includes a video light, while its display is neither curved nor made of sapphire glass, and the device does not feature an e-paper display.
