It carries an IP52 ingress protection rating, meaning it offers a degree of resistance to dust and light water splashes, though it is not built to a rugged standard.

The Poco C71 features a 6.88″ IPS LCD touchscreen with a resolution of 720 x 1640 px and a pixel density of 260 ppi, backed by a contrast ratio of 1500:1. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, contributing to smoother on-screen motion and more responsive input. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, an Always-On Display mode, a secondary screen, or support for HDR10, HDR10+, or Dolby Vision.

The Poco C71 is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, built on a 12 nm process with an octa-core CPU arrangement running at 2 x 1.8 GHz and 6 x 1.6 GHz, supporting 64-bit processing, multithreading across 8 threads, and big.LITTLE technology, with a thermal design power of 10W and 1 MB of L3 cache. It comes with 4 GB of DDR4 RAM running at 1866 MHz and 64 GB of eMMC 5.1 internal storage, with the maximum supported memory reaching 12 GB. Graphics are handled by the Mali G57 GPU, clocked at 850 MHz, featuring 2 execution units and 64 shading units, with support for OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, alongside integrated LTE and TrustZone security. Benchmark results include an AnTuTu score of 308,681, Geekbench 6 single-core and multi-core scores of 437 and 1,461 respectively, and Geekbench 5 scores of 357 single-core and 1,350 multi-core.

The Poco C71 features a single-lens rear camera with a 32 MP CMOS sensor and an f/1.8 aperture, supporting phase-detection autofocus, touch autofocus, and continuous autofocus during video recording, along with manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, though manual shutter speed is not available. It can record video at 1080p at 30 fps with slow-motion support, but does not offer optical zoom, optical image stabilization, HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, or 3D capture, and raw photo shooting is also absent. A single LED flash is included, with no dual-tone or RGB flash option. For selfies, there is an 8 MP front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, though it lacks a front-facing flash, a secondary lens, and is not positioned under the display. Both cameras support HDR mode, burst shooting, and in-camera panoramas, while 360-degree panorama capture is not supported.

The Poco C71 runs Android 15 and includes a broad set of privacy and usability features, such as clipboard warnings, location privacy controls, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. Productivity-oriented features include split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, app offloading, sharing intents, Live Text, and the ability to play games while they download. Direct OS updates from the vendor are not supported, Wi-Fi password sharing is absent, and the Quick Start feature is not included.

The Poco C71 is equipped with a 5200 mAh rechargeable, non-removable battery that supports 15W wired fast charging, and a charger is included in the box. Wireless charging is not supported, but the device does feature a battery level indicator to help monitor remaining charge.

The Poco C71 includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a built-in radio, offering a degree of audio versatility for wired listening and FM reception. It does not feature stereo speakers, and none of the advanced Bluetooth audio codecs — aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, or LDAC — are supported.

It includes GPS with Galileo support, a compass, and an accelerometer, though a gyroscope, barometer, infrared sensor, and motion or optical tracking are all absent. The device has a fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication but does not offer 3D facial recognition or an iris scanner. An external memory slot is available for storage expansion, while NFC, HDMI output, DLNA certification, ANT+, a heart rate monitor, crash detection, satellite SOS, and a built-in projector are not featured. 5G is not supported, and no stylus is included.

The Poco C71 includes a video light for illumination during video recording, while its display is flat rather than curved and uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
