It operates at a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate, while reaching a typical brightness of 3000 nits. The screen supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for wide-ranging HDR content compatibility, and also features Always-On Display functionality. Protection is provided by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, and the device does not include a secondary screen.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a 4 nm chipset with an 8-thread CPU configuration running at up to 2.5 GHz on the primary core, 2.4 GHz on three cores, and 1.8 GHz on four efficiency cores, with a turbo clock of 2.4 GHz and a TDP of 5W. It employs big.LITTLE architecture with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP) and TrustZone security, and supports 64-bit computing with multithreading. The Adreno 710 GPU runs at 1050 MHz, offers 128 shading units, and supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.2, OpenGL ES 3.2, and OpenCL 2, with integrated graphics and integrated LTE on the SoC. The device comes with 16 GB of DDR5 RAM at 3200 MHz — the maximum supported amount — delivering up to 25.6 GB/s of memory bandwidth, alongside 512 GB of internal storage. Benchmark results place the AnTuTu score at 813,000, Geekbench 6 single-core at 1162 and multi-core at 3239, and Geekbench 5 single-core at 893 and multi-core at 3242.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus features a triple rear camera system with sensors at 50 MP (f/1.6), 50 MP (f/2.0), and 8 MP (f/2.4), supported by optical image stabilization and 2.5x optical zoom. The rear setup uses a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination and relies on phase-detection autofocus for stills and continuous autofocus during video, while laser autofocus is not included. The 20 MP front camera is a single-lens unit positioned above the display — not under it — and has no dedicated flash. 3D photo and video recording is not supported, nor is 360-degree panorama.

The device runs on Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, and camera/microphone access management, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. App tracking can be blocked, and on-device machine learning is supported. On the customization side, users have access to theme customization, dynamic theming, dark mode, and an extra dim mode, while focus modes and app offloading are not present. Notification handling is flexible, with notification permissions and fully customizable notifications, and a media picker is also included. Productivity features span split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page scrolling screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, widgets, and the ability to play games while they download. The OS supports multi-user accounts, a child lock, phone tracking, offline voice recognition, and voice commands. Battery health monitoring is built in, and the software is free and open source. Wi-Fi password sharing, Quick Start, and the ability to use the device as a PC are not supported, and OS updates do not come directly from the vendor.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus houses a 6200 mAh rechargeable battery that is not removable. It supports 90W fast wired charging, though wireless charging is not available. A battery level indicator is built in, giving users a clear view of remaining charge at a glance.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and stereo speakers for wired and built-in audio output. On the wireless audio side, it supports LDAC for higher-quality Bluetooth audio transmission, while aptX, aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless are not supported.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus features a curved display and includes a video light for use during video recording. The screen uses neither sapphire glass nor an e-paper panel.
