Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 3

It carries an IP64 rating, meaning it is protected against dust ingress and resistant to water splashing from any direction, though it does not have a rugged build. The 7.8mm profile keeps the handset relatively slim for its screen size, striking a practical balance between in-hand comfort and internal component space.

The Redmi Turbo 3 features a 6.67-inch AMOLED touchscreen resolving at 1220 x 2712 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 446 ppi for a sharp and detailed image across the panel. It runs at a 120Hz refresh rate with a 480Hz touch sampling rate, keeping scrolling smooth and touch response tight during fast interactions. The display supports HDR10, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision for wide HDR content compatibility, and an Always-On Display mode is available for at-a-glance information without fully waking the screen. Protection is handled by Gorilla Glass Victus, and there is no secondary screen on this device.

The Redmi Turbo 3 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, a 4nm chipset with an eight-core CPU arrangement spanning one core at 3GHz, four at 2.8GHz, and three at 2GHz, paired with an Adreno 735 GPU clocked at 1100MHz. The SoC uses big.LITTLE technology, multithreading, TrustZone security, and integrated LTE, and supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 3.3, OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenVG 1.2, and OpenCL 2. It ships with 16GB of DDR5 RAM at 4800MHz and 1TB of internal storage, with memory expandable up to 24GB and a maximum bandwidth of 64 GB/s across 1MB of L2 and 8MB of L3 cache. Benchmark results include an AnTuTu score of 1,754,299, Geekbench 6 multi-core of 5,570 and single-core of 2,019, 3DMark Wild Life scores of 11,275 and 11,555 in unlimited mode, a Wild Life Extreme result of 2,986, a Steel Nomad score of 1,036, and PCMark Work 3.0 scores of 15,691 for performance and 759 minutes for battery life. The chipset carries a 12.5W TDP and supports a single display output.

The Redmi Turbo 3 uses a dual rear camera system led by a 50MP main sensor with OIS and an f/2.2 aperture, paired with an 8MP secondary lens, both using a CMOS sensor without back-side illumination. Autofocus options include phase-detection and touch autofocus for photos, along with continuous autofocus during video recording, though laser autofocus is not available. The camera supports manual controls for exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, as well as burst mode, HDR, panorama, slow-motion, and timelapse, but does not offer manual shutter speed control, RAW capture, 360-degree panorama, optical zoom, or HDR10 and Dolby Vision video recording. A single LED flash is present on the rear, with no dual-tone or RGB flash option. The 20MP front camera has an f/2.2 aperture, sits in a standard cutout rather than under the display, and is a single-lens setup without a front-facing flash.

The Redmi Turbo 3 ships with Android 14 and includes a broad set of privacy controls covering clipboard warnings, location access management, and camera and microphone permissions, though Mail Privacy Protection and cross-site tracking blocking are not available. On the usability side, the software supports dark mode, dynamic and manual theme customization, customizable notifications, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, a media picker, sharing intents, child lock, and a battery health check tool. It also offers extra dim mode, on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, phone tracking, and multi-user support, while focus modes, app offloading, Wi-Fi password sharing, and Quick Start are absent. Games can be played while downloading, and the OS is free and open source, though it does not receive direct OS updates from the vendor.

The Redmi Turbo 3 is equipped with a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 90W wired fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present for monitoring charge status. The battery is non-removable and wireless charging is not supported.

The Redmi Turbo 3 includes stereo speakers for built-in audio output but omits a 3.5mm headset jack, so wired headphones require an adapter or a USB-C connection. Bluetooth audio codec support covers aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Adaptive, catering to a range of wireless listening scenarios, though LDAC and aptX Lossless are not available. There is no FM radio on this device.

The Redmi Turbo 3 supports 5G cellular connectivity across two SIM slots, with download speeds reaching 10,000 Mbits/s and upload speeds up to 3,500 Mbits/s. Wireless networking covers Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) with backwards compatibility through Wi-Fi 6, 5, and 4, and Bluetooth 5.4 handles short-range connections. The device includes NFC, a fingerprint scanner, an infrared sensor, GPS with Galileo support, a compass, gyroscope, and accelerometer, while a barometer, heart rate monitor, iris scanner, 3D facial recognition, ANT+, HDMI output, DLNA certification, and a built-in projector are all absent. Wired connectivity is handled by a USB Type-C port running USB 2.0, and there is no external memory slot, no stylus included, and no satellite SOS or crash detection functionality.

The Redmi Turbo 3 includes a video light to assist with illumination during video recording. The display is flat rather than curved, uses no e-paper technology, and is not protected by sapphire glass.
