The Xiaomi Router BE3600 Pro measures 217.2 x 178 x 70 mm and is designed strictly for indoor use, as it carries no outdoor capability. It features three LAN ports and one WAN port, while USB connectivity is absent. Antenna-wise, the router relies on four internal antennas that are not removable, with no external antennas present, resulting in a clean, uncluttered exterior.
The router operates on a dual-band configuration and supports a broad range of Wi-Fi standards — Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax), and Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) — offering wide compatibility across device generations. Combined wireless throughput reaches 2882 Mb/s, while the unit is driven by a quad-core CPU running at 4 x 1.1 GHz. There is no external memory slot available on this model.
The router comes with a thorough set of security features, starting with a built-in network firewall and WPA3 wireless encryption for protecting the local network. Traffic management is handled through MAC address filtering, URL filtering, port filtering, and a Network Services Filter, giving administrators granular control over what can be accessed. Parental controls are also included, alongside NAT, static IP, and automatic IP support. VPN passthrough is covered on both fronts, with L2TP and PPTP passthrough both available.
The router supports mesh Wi-Fi, allowing it to function as part of a larger whole-home network, and can also be used in a fully wireless configuration. Wireless performance is further aided by MU-MIMO and beamforming, while QoS and dynamic routing provide flexible traffic management across the network. VLAN tagging, IPv6, and Network Time Protocol are all enabled, and a dedicated smartphone app is available for simplified management. Matter support is not included, and there is no WPS button on the device.
