The YUNZII Madlions Mad68 HE is a wired, gaming-oriented mechanical keyboard with a compact 65% layout and a standard profile, connecting via USB with a detachable cable for added convenience. It features a gasket mount construction and operates at a polling rate of 8000 Hz, placing it firmly in the high-performance category. The board measures 320 × 116 × 37 mm and weighs 830 g, offering a solid physical presence without occupying a large footprint. It is not designed for Mac, and carries a warranty period of one year.
The Mad68 HE features a plastic and aluminum case paired with an aluminum plate, available in either black or white. The keyboard includes RGB backlighting and supports adjustable feet for tilt customization, though it does not come with a wrist rest.
The Mad68 HE uses the Magnetic Amber Pro Switch, a Hall effect switch with a linear feel and an actuation force of 37 g. The actuation distance is adjustable across a wide range — from as little as 0.1 mm up to 3.8 mm — with a total travel distance of 3.8 mm. These switches are hot-swappable, allowing them to be replaced without soldering.
The Mad68 HE supports a strong set of Hall effect-driven features, including rapid trigger, dual actuation, and adjustable actuation, alongside analog input for per-key precision control. N-key rollover (NKRO) is also present, ensuring every simultaneous keypress is registered accurately. On the other hand, the board does not include USB passthrough, a display, or support for QMK, ZMK, or VIA firmware customization.
The Mad68 HE follows an ANSI (United States) layout with a standard key arrangement and uses PBT double-shot keycaps in an OEM profile, offering good durability and a familiar typing surface. Media functions are accessible via the Fn key rather than dedicated keys, and the board does not include a rotary dial.
