ZTE Libero Flip

The ZTE Libero Flip features a foldable design with physical dimensions of 170 mm in height, 76 mm in width, and a thickness of 7.3 mm, giving it a total volume of 94.316 cm³ and a weight of 214 g. It carries an IPX2 ingress protection rating, meaning it offers basic water resistance against dripping water, though it does not have a rugged build.

The ZTE Libero Flip uses an OLED/AMOLED touch screen measuring 6.9″ with a resolution of 1188 x 2790 pixels and a pixel density of 439 ppi, paired with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth on-screen motion. The display does not include branded damage-resistant glass, and it does not support HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, or an Always-On Display mode. There is also no secondary screen present on the device.

The ZTE Libero Flip is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset, built on a 4 nm semiconductor process, with an octa-core CPU configuration running at 1 x 2.4 GHz, 3 x 2.36 GHz, and 4 x 1.8 GHz across 8 threads using big.LITTLE technology. Graphics are handled by the integrated Adreno 644 GPU clocked at 600 MHz, with support for DirectX 12 and OpenGL ES 3.2. The device comes with 6 GB of LPDDR5 RAM running at 3200 MHz and 128 GB of internal storage, with a maximum supported memory amount of 16 GB. It supports 64-bit processing, multithreading, integrated LTE, ARM TrustZone security, and achieves an AnTuTu benchmark score of 690,000.

The ZTE Libero Flip features a dual-lens rear camera system combining a 50 MP sensor at f/1.7 and a 2 MP sensor at f/2.4, both using a BSI CMOS sensor with phase-detection autofocus and touch autofocus for stills, as well as continuous autofocus during video recording. The main camera supports 4K video recording at 30 fps along with slow-motion video, and includes a single LED flash, though dual-tone and RGB flash options are absent. Manual controls cover exposure, ISO, focus, and white balance, while burst mode, HDR, panorama, and timelapse are all available; however, manual shutter speed, optical zoom, RAW capture, and 360-degree panorama are not supported. On the front, a single-lens 16 MP camera is present without a front-facing flash or under-display placement, and the device does not offer HDR10 or Dolby Vision recording, nor any 3D photo or video capabilities.

The ZTE Libero Flip runs Android 13 and includes a broad set of privacy controls, covering clipboard warnings, location privacy options, camera and microphone access management, and the ability to block app tracking, though cross-site tracking blocking and Mail Privacy Protection are not present. On the usability side, it supports dark mode, dynamic theming, theme customization, an extra dim mode, customizable notifications, notification permissions, a media picker, widgets, split-screen multitasking, Picture-in-Picture, full-page screenshots, Live Text, sharing intents, and the ability to play games while they download. The device also offers on-device machine learning, offline voice recognition, voice commands, multi-user support, a child lock, and phone tracking, while being based on a free and open-source platform. Features not included are Wi-Fi password sharing, battery health check, focus modes, app offloading, direct OS vendor updates, Quick Start, and the ability to function as a PC.

The ZTE Libero Flip is equipped with a 4310 mAh rechargeable battery that supports 33W fast charging, with a charger included in the box. A battery level indicator is present, making it straightforward to monitor remaining charge. The battery is not removable, and wireless charging is not supported.

The ZTE Libero Flip supports aptX and LDAC for higher-quality Bluetooth audio transmission, though aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, and aptX Lossless are not available. The device does not include a 3.5 mm headphone jack, stereo speakers, or a built-in radio.

The ZTE Libero Flip offers 5G connectivity alongside Wi-Fi 4, Wi-Fi 5, and Wi-Fi 6 support, with a maximum download speed of 550 Mbit/s. It accommodates one physical SIM and one eSIM, and connects via USB Type-C at USB 2.0. Bluetooth 5.2 and NFC are both present, while there is no external memory slot, HDMI output, or DLNA certification. For sensors and navigation, the device includes GPS with Galileo support, a gyroscope, accelerometer, compass, and a fingerprint scanner, but does not feature a barometer, infrared sensor, heart rate monitor, iris scanner, or 3D facial recognition. Crash detection, emergency SOS via satellite, ANT+, motion tracking, optical tracking, and a built-in projector are likewise absent, and no stylus is included.

The ZTE Libero Flip includes a video light for use during video recording, while its display is neither curved nor made of sapphire glass, and the device does not use an e-paper display.
